I'm a horrible sucker for sad movies. I hate them because they're so depressing, but I can't get enough! Why is the human condition so complex and stupid sad.gif Anyway, what are some movies that you think can be categorized as tragedy, or just made you feel down at the end? I'll list some first.

Brokeback Mountain (I didn't expect it to turn out that way. Argh, Ang Lee should've stuck to things like Hero... oh wait)
Hero (DAMN YOU ANG)
A.I.

Can't think of any other significant ones at the moment... I'm going to go into my corner now. losewings.gif

Also, please don't post any spoilers.

Also.. Old Yeller, and Beaches.

oh.. another great movie... Sisterhood of the traveling pants.

Let's see. Movies that make me cry:

Gigli, Hitch, and all those sugary crappy romantic comedies which fail at being romantic or funny. Movie writers, I cry for you.

I, Robot, Matrix II and III and all those movies which are basically CGI effects demonstrations and feature-length ads for ILM. Movie directors, I cry for you.

Inferior remakes of old movies like The Pink Panther. Movie industry, I cry for you.

Tom Hanks' hair in The DaVinci Code: Film hairdressers, I cry for you.

On a lighter note, the movie Moulin Rouge almost stirred something that could, in a hazy day, be mistaken for an emotion in the shrivelled up old prune I have for a heart.

The Lion King. That whole wildebeest stampede scene was fairly sad

I laughed and cheered. I suppose we've already established though that I'm a horrible person dry.gif

Donnie Darko makes me cry EVERY time I see it. Even just hearing the song "Mad World" makes me cry uncontrolably now.

Gods, I love that movie wub.gif
