1875 health, 1213 mana and 830 ego damage. This is not needed, especially when put behind a demesne, which adds passive damage and afflictions, along with the two other channels psionic uses use for afflictions. The attack did come from Athana (which is a Titan faeling) and this represents the max damage that can be done, however I still believe the maximum is way out or proportion, and mindblast is too powerful in general. I've had people like Dysolis do 1000 health/mana/ego, which is still kind of ridiculous due to demesne passive damage and your only able to health either health or mana or ego, not counting sparkleberry but sparkleberry is based of 10% of your max health/mana/ego, and will only heal about 300-600 of it, depending on your stats.

Also, mindblast can be done while prone (paralysed, webbed, on the floor, transfixed) AND hits through shield. Only sleep and being stunned stops it, which is ridiculous. I'm sure if being prone and shield would stop it, it could be fine, however, currently this skill is ridiculous.

Heh. As long as you defend being able to strip vitae, mindblast is okay for me.

So it can be done every 6 seconds, it looks like. Slow balance, but still pretty brutal. Pretty sure thats what Revan was using against me the other day, didn't see the actual message, but all three numbers were going down pretty fast, which is unusual. The attack is rough, as you have to watch against 1)death, 2)falling below half mana, and 3) falling below half ego, all at the same time, and you can only heal one of the three at a time unless you're an aquamancer (twirl staff), or have a healing ability that you can do while sipping something else. Well, in my fight with Revan, if I had eaten sparkleberry, he'd have done small damage to each stat. If you change siporder for ego when a telepath starts attacking you then you should be fine.

ASIDE from using a demesne (which never happens much anyway, unless you're fighting a PREPARED mage, which never happens unles it's a RAID with LOTS OF OTHER PEOPLE), an ASIDE from ATHANA, who is ONE solitary person who does a ton... Torak and I agree that Mindblast is NOT, I repeat NOT overpowered, and can be easily kept up with.

Mindburst and stupidity alone are nothing from the usual mage, but couple it with a demense and/or friends and it does some serious damage. But, that said you need to look at the skill itsself, if you reduce it a bunch again it will completely useless once more. I can't see a good way to change it for being overpowered in a few situations without shafting alot of others (Ie Lone mage being jumped)

Things that would be 'overpowered' if useable all the time are given a powercost to stop them being 'overpowered'. That is the point of Lusternia's power system; players get much superior skills when compared with other IRE realms but can only use the stronger ones every so often. Power is one of the ways of aiding the balancing of stronger skills in Lusternia.
