I'm going to try taking a level 1 character out in an aethership sometime, and see if I can gain him some levels. biggrin.gif

Seriously though, the Ronseyder is available to any member of the Wanderers. I'm totally going to start trying to promote novice aethership training programs or something for post newtoness

I just think that unless They come up with something interesting for aetherships/aetherspace, or something more integral to the game, it's going to go the way of figurines, just something that rich, bored people do, and can never find anyone to do it with them.

Patience, Grasshopper.

Implementation of the aetherspace things got derailed by the massive IRE game-engine update, remember? And we've been stuck in what amounts to a maintenance cycle ever since.

The only hope for Aethership is that the specializations pick up and make it a lot more interesting - If they don't, the system will be broken and no amount of unplanned attempts at patching it up will make it a fun and integral part of the game.

Besides ship combat skills, I hope we get something else, like... something you can profit from, items, gold, comms, etc. Having a bunch of pretty fighting skills won't do any good if there's no ships there in the first place!

Well, supposedly you're supposed to be able to find those diamonut things and sell them to the gnomes for a hefty sum. But I haven't heard anything about them except that.

Its part of a quest that begins on the Dramube Triangle.

You can, I've heard it's similar to the dairuchi quest in that you do it a few times, and then once completed they pay you more because you're an experianced trader. It gives about 10 times the gold of the Dairuchi quest. Lots of effort and lots of time, for lots of gold.

I still mantain that aetherships will only be popular when there is a substantial economic incentive to using them that can't be obtained without an aethership - Like some valuable resource you can only get from the aether.
