Okay things like this really affect me on a personal level because I usually consider myself to be a reasonable person..so I'd like some feedback from everyone. Do you all think I play Athana's character so intensely that it causes people to hate me as a person. I -really- don't want to be so much of a burden that I actually invoke OOC hate from others... Please let me know if you (mostly players with Celestian characters) think I should scale things down because stuff like this really hurts me...

no I don't believe so, Athana IMO is just like Ialie one of those people who everyone can like. ya you help fight and have made some enemies, but I don't think you play her so that people have a real reason to go OMG I HATES HER PLAYER! If they actually feel like that, they are the ones who need to unplug from the game for a while and take a break.

No, I just think that person doesn't have a sense of IC/OOC difference. Athana is nice to most everybody, enemies included (why? ). That person probably just has a stick up his arse. Ignore him, Athy.

Anyone who takes their hate of a character to the player itself needs to take a step back and think to themselves "Hey this is a GAME! That person over there is just playing their part, like I am playing my part." If you can't seperate fantasy from reality, I know some good head shrinks.

I usually get spit on by random novices from Glomdoring and Mag just because I'm Seren and I disgust them or something, but that doesn't have much to do with this. If that happened to me Athana I would feel horrible

Personally, I think the person is just horrible at separating IC and OOC.

Now, I don't know "person" but that is beside the point. There is little you can do to keep from having at least a few people in rival orgs upset with you. Athana, there is little to do but steal yourself, and ignore it if someone else takes it to far. This is a game where people benefit the most when they disadvantage others.

As for IC-OOC separation, I'd blame the OOC clan, not 'person'. Then again, I've said I don't know 'person' so they could very well be horrible at it anyway, however the ooc clan is not helping, I'm sure.
