And what would their... Thingummies be called. We have Supernals, Emanations/Demon Lords, Somethingchaotic, Somethingordered. I Dunno... Storms isn't a bad idea for the Vortex IMO... And maybe Sages for the Continuum? Or is that too many things beginning with S...
The five Vortex entities have to be Lloigor! It's both Lovecraftian and Discordian! Heck, the Lloigor even look like dragons! Its perfect!
(In The Illuminatus Trilogy, the Bavarian Illuminati serve creatures of great power known as the Lloigor; the name was taken from the Cthulhu Mythos)

I've been looking into about everything about Gaudiguch that's avalaible for the public, and I think the Elemental plane of Fire should have it's Fire Lords (Duh), and that the Vortex should have the Lords of Change (Little less duh). The Vortex Plane is described as ever-changing, never the same. Bhodifucius' statements regard the Winds of Change. I'm having a fair hunch their name will have SOMETHING to do with Change.

Should probably be Lords of Blaze/Flame, whatever, because the two sets of Lords we currently have don't actually have the direct name of the plane (Lords of Tide/Stone).
But what would each individual lord's title be ...

Lord of Lava! Or Brimstone, Ash, Embers, Conflageration, Burning, Smoke, Combustion, Plasma, Heat, et cetera.
Daganev2006-09-18 21:30:15
If I had to divide a Fire up into 4 I would have embers(beginings) , inferno(height of strength), smoke(end), and heat/fire/(something that describes your average fire)
Shirath2006-09-19 12:34:50
Perhaps Tzarin could be one of their names...
Great Tzarin is often called out in the logs of the secret Military Aether.
Besides, as the Lords of the Fire Plane are -not- called the Lords of Fire (probably), the individual lords probably won't be named like Embers, Smoke, Burning, whatever. Brom the Boulder... Brom doesn't even sound like a real word

If they are called the Lords of the Flame or the Blaze, Dag's suggestions make perfect sense. Name something else for them to be the lords of, and we can come up with new suggestions
About Tzarin
1) No offence, but you are completely wrong. Tzarin is a kind of short name for the vernal Tzaraziko.
2) It is mentioned ONCE in the whole conversation. You cannot call that often.
Shirath2006-11-03 14:23:23
Oi! You're right, it IS mentionned only once... Howcome you're so sure about Tzarin referring to Tzaraziko though? And I still put my questionmarks at the names of the Lords of the Fire-plane actually being real words like Inferno or Embers... Maybe they resemble them, though?

Yay! Time to Necro another thread.
I've been opening the Lava Caverns up a lot lately, and since I triggered the responses, I got a lot more time to read what she's yelling alongside her chants. Got some interesting things from there...
Here's some of the things she sais;
"I call upon the Five Sacred Fires to open the path."
"I invoke the powers of elemental Fire."
"Spirit of Lord Dracnoris, pierce the planes."
"Blazing Lords of Fire, hear my plea."
"Heralds of the Seven Sacred Pyres, aid me."
"In the name of the Dragon God, I command you to open."
"Elemental Fire, sunder the sands of Time that veil your majestic inferno and burn this path."
Some of the things I concluded from this (Ytraelux, please be careful with piercing my veil -again- );
- The powers of the Elemental Plane of Fire can still be drawn upon even though it is trapped in time.
- It has been confirmed (again?) the Plane is indeed trapped in time.
- The memory of Dracnoris plays a key role in the life of a dracnari pyromancer (thought that's more racial though, not neccesarily pyromantic)
- The Lords of the Elemental plane are called the Lords of Fire.
And there's still a few big question marks regarding the Five Sacred Fires (Cosmic half-formed, perhaps, from the Vortex?) and those Seven Sacred Pyres (Not a bloody clue).
Any thoughts on this, I'd love to hear.

About the Five Fires and Seven Pyres... Sounds like some sort of collective elemental entity... Not much more I can glean from it right now...

Room for a book on just that. Aiakon has been arguing the opposite for years in his various dubious 'scholarly' productions. Take one, rip it to shreds, and bolster Mag's culture by publishing it... fun fun fnu

Right time for my 2 cents worth.
The Illuminati worship chaos, they live in the desert, and they are linked with pyromancers.
Therefore they will summon djinns. Those chaotic fiery demons from the Middle East.
I will never foget that story from the Arabian Nights where the guy reaeases a djinn from his three thousand year imprisonment in a bottle and the djinn says, 'Thank you for realeasing me, I am forever in your debt, but I'm going to have to kill you now.' And then another guy comes along and hears the story and says 'No way, I can't believe that a huge fiery monster like you fit in that tiny bottle,' so the djinn says 'Look, I'll show you,' and jumps into the bottle, upon which the man corks the bottle again trapping the djinn back inside. Yeah, they'd sooner eat you than grant three wishes.
Oh, and the Hallifax guys will summon lecturers of DOOM.

Djinn would be cool, but might not happen. They're only linked with the Pyromancers, and much as the Celestines are linked with the Aquamancers. The angels aren't wet, and the Demons are rocky. Not that much basis for the Illuminati's entities, (if they exist) to be fiery.
Shirath2006-11-16 12:22:50
I've found something else she sais about a Fiery Flame Sword, but it's not that interesting...
Oh glee! My turn to burst a bubble. Thanks Jitwix!
Firstly; Illuminati don't worship Chaos.
Secondly; Where they live is not known, but it's somewhere in Gaudiguch. Not in the Desert.
Lastly; Well, Ytraelux already pointed it out... Additional information though, I think the Illuminati's Loyal is not a Djinn, but that doglike Lizard thingy described in the Memoirs of Lolly. (Item 27 in the History of the Holy Celestine Empire) Then again, those might just be the denizens on the Vortex... Ah well...
I -do- like the Idea of Lecturers of Doom... Maybe I should swap to Hallifax now that I still can

On all the other Cosmics, their denizens ARE the entities.
Unknown2006-11-16 23:12:52
Illuminati DO worship chaos...
Angels vs. Demons
Chaos vs. Order
