Well, if he knew he had two votes that didn't show in the votecount he shouldn't have left them there and go away causing a suden lynch of an innocent.

Basically, if Daganev hadn't died so sudenly he might have clarified as a last before death move everything he knew about Astheru.
Shamarah2006-06-14 19:24:13
I forgot I had the double vote, to be honest.

In all honesty, Shamarah wasn't the one that got Daganev killed. Quidgyboo was the last one to vote for him, and without going back to check again, I think Shamarah was the one who had been voting for him the entire time. I could be wrong about that, but I know he wasn't one of the last people.

So besides just not telling the entire world that he had two votes on Daganev, he didn't do anything hasty. Especially if he only has limited availability at the moment and wasn't able to watch closely enough to avoid the accidental lynch.

You can't really put the blame on me, I fully expected to be able to hear some sort of roleclaim. Just cause mine was the last vote doesn't meen diddly, really.
Unknown2006-06-15 03:04:01
That wasn't my point at all. I was just saying that it wasn't like Shamarah intentionally cast his vote on someone with 5 votes in order to push it to the 7 needed for a lynch. There was no way you could have known either (unless you knew about Shamarah, which seems unlikely).

Aand it's deadline time.

As Celestia is mostly quiet, except for the occasional whispers, Elohora forces the issue.

"Who have you chosen?" she asks.

The decision is split between Azael and Ashteru, however the scales are tipped by a single voice.

"Very well," Elohora's voice sounds again, "Ashteru's soul shall be scoured for truth!"

However, as the Pool of Stars begins to spout its holy flames, there is a pause.

"No…" the Holy Supernal utters quietly, "it shall not be Ashteru this day."

The tendrils of purging fire change their course, turning from Ashteru to reach towards Shamarah.

"You have broken a sacred Covenant, Shamarah, and for that, despite your innocence, you must repent!"

Shamarah stumbles backward, raising his hands in surrender and begging for mercy. "No!" he shouts. "Please, you know I am but an innocent defender!" But it is too late. The outstretched pyre engulfs Shamarah, pulling him forward to both drown and burn for his crimes.

"I am sorry," Elohora speaks again, "that I was forced to knowingly slay an innocent. May the Light protect you all. You most persevere."

Father Sun's light fades away, and the survivors enter Night 2 in shock and confusion.

Night choices are due 3 days from now.

The night passes with little event, and through sleeping with one eye open as it were, the defenders hope for the best. As the first signs of Father Sun's light can be felt, the survivors awake and begin to count themselves, gathered back around the Pool of Stars. One of them has not come, yet there was not a sound to warn any of them to his passing.

Moving as a group, the defenders find Forren, looking as if he were peacefully asleep, if it were not for his pale skin and lack of breath.

A faint sparkling can be seen in the air, quickly dissipating on the softest of breezes. "I will avenge him!" booms the voice of Methrenton. "The death of an innocent defender in his sleep is intolerable!"

Celestia shakes as the Crusading Supernal fights against his bondage. However, as the glimmer in the air completely fades, so too does the struggle.

Feeling the chill of defeat on the backs of their neck, the survivors return to the Pool of Stars, with the knowledge that even their dreams are out to get them.

Welcome to Day Three. Forren is dead.

Because I don't want to sent out mass PMs again... bump.gif
Unknown2006-06-18 20:50:43
So is Forren also a plain old townie?
Ashteru2006-06-18 20:52:17
Eeeesh...not many people are left....

Innocent Defender is how the Supernals refer to vanilla's, yes.
Hazar2006-06-19 02:56:09
Could we get a rolecall on who's left?
Unknown2006-06-19 05:00:48
So I think that makes it..what? 5 to lynch? Out of 9 remaining?
Unknown2006-06-19 06:45:59
This really isn't going too well for the us, is it?
Iridiel2006-06-19 08:49:15
Not at all sad.gif Now, let's be careful this time. No lynching unless we really know something for sure or isn't that good strategy yet?
Unknown2006-06-19 15:54:31

I'm still pretty certain that Ashteru is scum. I say we try to off him again.

And does anyone have any idea why Shamarah died?

Vote: Ashteru
Iridiel2006-06-20 08:13:56
I will insist that Azael lied to us when he roleclaimed. vote Azael.
Hazar2006-06-20 11:55:37
I agree with Requiem; Ashteru still seems the most suspicious.

Ashteru2006-06-20 12:01:13
