Your ship is southwestish of krumkindivia, I didn't go far with it at all, just out of the mountains there and southwest some. I figured it would implode in a short bit and it'd be funny seeing the three of you work out a way back ICly, I had to do that for three days RL when my ship exploded with me on the sphere, so I kinda figured it would be fun. My bads if I caused you any ooc grief, it was more just mischief. And I hate meant to make you spores back, but I forgot too late before I jumped ship.

That is really, incredibly low. No offence.
Unknown2006-05-29 08:58:18
... How is it low? He's doing what basically no one else has done, he's making Aetherships not all good and nothing bad, currently they're basically a source of alot of power, and travel to any plane and Aetherspheres with basically no chance of getting killed on the way, he stole a ship, wow, it'll eventually blow up, or someone will eventually go out there with someone who can pilot said ship, and ram it, so they can board it and sail back.
Diamante2006-05-29 09:13:35
Small overseen problem with aetherships, for relatively little effort, something that costs 1400cr can be stolen in the blink of an eye if manse perms aren't set just right.

I could have kept the ship docked somewhere, and used it for my own means, literally keeping it indefinately. That very notion somewhat bothers me that such things are possible, and I did not keep it for that reason. However, I do not see how causing a little trouble to commune enemies (I could have killed all three on the bubble while I was at it)
Is somehow low. However, I do understand some connotations that come with losing something incredibly valueable to you, I did find it odd however that the first place it went was the forums, rather than asking the -only- other person on the sphere besides them about it in any sort of detail.
Unknown2006-05-29 09:18:52
There's no way to pilot an enemy ship unless the chair perms allow it. In most cases, this is enough.

Diamante, were you a member of the Wanderers clan?
Diamante2006-05-29 09:30:26
wtf is wanderers?

....and manse perms seems screwy.
these were my perms
-------
People who meet the following conditions may enter your fulcrux:
is not a member of the Holy Principality of New Celest
OR
is not a member of the Collective of Serenwilde
OR
is not a member of the Grand Dominion of Magnagora

And my two novice followers couldn't get on the ship when I died on the sphere -shrug-

Oh again, my dislike is for anything you could have paid OOC credits for (diamonuts etc) and the possibility that your ship will not be returned to you should you mess up fulcrux /chair perms seems silly
Unknown2006-05-29 09:32:28
I assume that there may be a skill in one of the specializations, captain one or the empath one that will allow you to return the ship to the Aetherplex dock.

I had a perm to block a certain person from piloting my ship even if they acquired permission via my clan.

Also if those are your current perms you are in danger, if those manage to block anyone then you should never have been able to pilot my ship.

This is the same problem I faced, you just have to replace it with MEMBER OF GLOMDORING and exclude neutrals.

The problem isn't a bug, its logical, if I recall correctly.

In your example, I should be able to enter. I'm not a member of Celest, therefore I pass the first condition. It doesn't matter whether I pass the second and third conditions because at least one of the OR conditions is true.

You could try replacing OR's with EXCEPT's, which essentially function as 'AND'.

Yes according to those perms I am allowed entrance as I am not a citizen of Magnagora or Celest.
I modified my perms now, it won't let anyone pilot unless they are a member of the wanderers (yay for more members than Richters clan tongue.gif ) or on my list. Still preventing that one person from piloting.
Diamante2006-05-29 22:33:48
btw did you get your ship back or do I still have to feel bad?

Well, he said he modified the perms, so my guess would be yes tongue.gif

It should've been attacked by monsters and imploded soon after you "jumped ship."
Diamante2006-05-30 00:44:49
except, aether monsters don't see to be attacking lately. I bugged it but I drew like 40 power a a vortex and none of the creatures in the room attacked, nor did any others I ran into.

Ok, so maybe "low" was the wrong word. I meant it is low that you actually did something like that for "mischeif". If you just want to do it to prove a point, you could have bugged it. Or some other thing like bug

Anyways, it got back to its home, and that makes me happy happy.gif .

It is quite disturbing that you can do that though.
Unknown2006-05-30 19:28:57
Its not a bug though. Its the owner not setting Privs properly.

At the risk of losing my powers...I've NEVER been attacked in aetherspace. Not even after drawing 450-odd power near the Rift.
