Everyone seems to consider Eiru, Kaervas, Torak and some others to be top tier here and they all use Thorgal's, no?

It's obvious, they're too poor to afford Amaru's system!
Xavius2006-06-04 04:28:38
Plenty of people use heavily modified versions of Thorgal's system. The beauty of it is that it's very easily modified. Thorgal just enables you to skip the eye-gouging tedium of getting the basic functions set up. I have to admit, I haven't heard any comments from anyone on how modular Amaru's system is. It might actually be very good in that regard. I just don't know.
Ashteru2006-06-04 06:59:25
Yeah, I use a bastardized version of Thorgals last system when he was still active. I like my system, added a lot to it, and illusionprotection isn't too hard to code, actually.

Come on. Who, of the people criticising the system, has beaten it? This is funny. Come on guys.
QUOTE(terenas @ date='Jun 4 2006, 03:19 AM' post='293631')
This is just bad form, Amaru is advertising his system, not someone else's. If you don't like it, don't buy it, but don't advertise or compare it to someone else's system, go make another thread for that. You guys could criticize his system and all that but if you can't code or fight as well as he is, why do you guys bother arguing?
Im sorry terenas I thought he was asking for advise on how to improve it which is what I and others did.
Unknown2006-06-04 16:19:43
I noticed that the thread of Murphy's system contains a similar list of criticisms. It's a shame. Leave us in peace, people! These systems take days to code and are constantly being worked on. They're valuable to buy for inexperienced coders, if just to see how it's all done.

C accually has several advantages over any other programming language, and if people waste 200 credits on a freaking flowerpot, why wouldn't they waste credits on a curative system? People will really make out for themselves if they want to use these credits for a system or not. They don't need your 'warning'.
I'd much rather have a flowerpot!
Far more useful

So true, unfortunately. I have a distinct feeling Amaru's system revolves around the curative abilities that a -cough- -cough- Celestine gets.

Of course you can. Murphy, the legendary psychotic coder. A jumbled up jigsaw of parts of my system, inbred with butchered aspects of Thorgal's. You're onto a winner.
You know what i'm taking offence to that. a year ago i took a small part of your system, now i exclusively work based 100% of thorgal's system with my OWN ideas thrown in, and who else to get a parry from than from the best bonecrusher ever?
Anyway stop making cheap shots at me to flog your own system, let it rely on its own merits really.
To all my customer who may be reading, excpet another massive update coming in the next week or so, just spent a lot of time in illusion protection and general curing...who knows this version might even have a nexus-esque graphical compass?

I don't give a what other people are saying, but I'm going to vouche for Amaru's system. His track record of fighting has been quite unbeatable.
