Uh, what? Currently the conflict on celestia and nil is fine, and with my suggestions the ethereal areas would be identical in every way to cosmic.
Firstly, the Ethereal Plane and the Cosmic Planes are different for a reason, making them identical makes absolutely no sense. The Ethereal Plane houses both the Avatars and the Aspects for the communes, whereas the cities have two separate planes for the cities' equivalent. How about this, you merge all of Water, Earth, Nil, and Celestia into one big Plane, then we'll take your suggestions into account since only then will the planes would be identical.

If you remove the fact that they're linked, how are they not?
Daganev2006-06-06 00:12:00
removing archways makes the two areas even MORE connected...
Any cook can make a honeycake.
I don't think you can make honeycakes without a cook anymore, but could be wrong, I never tried.

That you can take Fae via a Quest, WITHOUT having to touch them, thus avoiding any call to defenders should the person not be enemied?
Shamarah2006-06-06 00:13:12
So make them call for help when you give them honeycakes.

Le sigh sweety let me explain it to you,
Cosmic=The best place to raid to attack a city, easyish to get into and you can kill angels or supernals
Etheral=the best place to raid to attack a commune, easyish but harder to get into than cosmic but also imposiable to raid with a group as you will be wiped out by guards.

They have to be linked. Sorry. We're not going to bum a ride from a Geomancer to get to Faethorn.
You still have the issues of the raids being undetectable.
EDIT: You all need to stop ninjaing me. Even if they cry for help, the whole area can be cleared in a matter of seconds.

I'm saying that the ethereal areas should be identical to cosmic in every way. That's boring as hell, but it's the simplist solution and not one good alternative has been voiced.
Unknown2006-06-06 00:15:24
Meh, this argument is making me want to go back to Achaea. Do you have any idea how sad that is?
You people are seriously dense.

Balance is the most important thing in my eyes, the etheral planes need to be as raidable as the cosmic planes. And fallen please quit with the personal attacks I know you want to keep the guards to be powerful but at least come up with a reason like xavius is doing aside from just making snide comments.

You haven't even been reading my posts then. For the longest time me and Xavius kept ninjaing eachother with EXACTLY the same explanations for what was going on.
I just got sick of it, while he's still bothering to fight a brick wall with his bare hands.

More like minutes. And Celestia and Nil are no better... plus, there's such a thing as player defenders. The cities have been doing it since day one, now it's the communes' turn to learn how to deal.
Daganev2006-06-06 00:20:01
Yay, lets all go back to kick and punch and get rid of the planes! weeee
ferlas2006-06-06 00:20:41
EDIT Daganev and Fallen either quit with the snide comments or quit posting pointlessly. We are actually making progress here.

Er.. no.. you can clear EtherGlom or EtherSeren of fae in under a minute if you have enough honey cakes. There's no delay between giving a fae a honeycake and having it jump into your arms.

Edit: You are not maiking progress, Ferlas. You're still wrong, hence, no progress.

Remember how one of my suggestions was that only the communes can make honeycakes? Oh, and only three honeycombs spawn at any given time.
Anisu2006-06-06 00:23:13
didn't you need silvery or shadowy cake to steal fae from a commune's ethereal place?

Ive had numerous people agree to my ideas and xavius has admitted that the avatars need to be changed somehow to make them raidable. We are making progress and your constantly snide comments are doing little to help.

Um.. maybe you don't know this, but honeycombs made by cooks can be stored in a shop. I used to have hundreds kept in stock back in the day.
