Mmh...

Hmm actually I think I made a thread about it before, or something like how all these simple easy to use skills like inquisition heartburst and sap and others can get you a kill so no one bothers doing anything else. I just find it detracts from the complexity of lusternia combat reducing it and having such simple skills. When I fight a druid I know hes just going to sap me, when I fight a celestine I know hes just going to rub soulless and try inquisition. And because these methods are pretty powerful and can kill thats all they really do its simple, has simple if tricky counters and just is simple and dull I find.

Nah. Necromancers need to stop whining and solve something themselves, instead of always getting changes from the coders to improve their lot. Necromancy is fine.
Actually, after playing with it a fair bit, keeping someone crucified long enough for the cross to break all 4 limbs is impossible.
Even with aeon epilepsy and scabies, you can focus mind enough times to lose epilepsy, and you will get enough balance to writhe. The cross breakspeed should be sped up, and the 50-50 chance to bleed you instead of breaking limbs should be removed.
Or even for a bit more fun, give necro a 2 power skill that makes people bleed for 1k-1500 but only while you're crucified, so you can still get lucky, and crucify and if you get eq back you can go for a bit round of bleeding, overall cost - 10 power.

Sorry, what? That seems like a lot.
Diamante2006-06-08 07:41:56
would you spend 10 power to make someone bleed for 1000?
Soll2006-06-08 08:10:34
Nope, but I would consider having one person spend 8 for crucifix, and three or four others spend 2 power to have an instantly dead Amaru on your hands.

In a two on one situation, yes. Person A crucifies Person C, person B bleeds Person C, person A bleeds person C when he gets equilibrium. Possible of 3k bleeding basically instantly on their initial attack. That's quite a bit of bleeding. If he were to clot it away, person B assuming he was a Nihilist could wrack, though more likely just kill him with damage.

You only need three person have an instantly dead Amaru:
Person A crucify -> Person B Trample -> Person C Sacrifice
Why bother with the bleeding at all?
Soll2006-06-08 08:37:03
I believe Sacrifice was changed, due to that combo, to only be doable by the person who Crucified. That is why you would bother with the bleeding.

Didn't know that. Does Heretic, Infidel and Inquisition all requires to be done by the same person?

Yes it does, or at least it did last time I checked.
Murphy2006-06-08 12:18:41
As a nihilist i would spent 10 power to make someone bleed like that. Ideally the skill would be done only if you have eq, but not cost it.
Thereby, if you crucify someone as a setup for soulless, then you can bleed and fling it, so if they do get away you've still got something helpful on your hands.

Four people doing a move thats very effective in group situations, I could get the same effect with four mages mindbursting thats about 3200 health ego and mana damage, if your not dead from it your going to get insta killed. That dosnt cost power either.
It sounds actually like a good power skill, but personally I think they should just reduce torture to cost two power, three power for a skill like that is to much I think.

I suggested that, but no go.
ferlas2006-06-08 15:32:46
Really? Its a bit pathetic at 3 power I think, like if Im omen and sensitive I can tank two or three of them in a row with no healing and recover off of them. If it was two power the fourth or fifth would kill me. You have to mess them up first so they cant writhe free or heal for tortue to be even slightly effective, hell id be happy with it at one or two power or even none because you do actually have to mess them up a lot for it to be even slightly effective.
