Certainly, I think it was a memorable introduction to Charune, the Horned One!
I wonder, should we refer to Him as .... Your Horniness?

I tried to make Yeralih aware of it, not barter, but just tell her what she was getting into, she just broke off our conversation quickly. Honestly I'm used to that treatment though, and maybe Viravain called her off for your pre-domination talk.
We were ordered not to talk to any Serens at all, to prevent anybody from giving any agreements or getting "false information," by the way.

You know.. why didn't the Hartstone take it upon themselves to bond with the spirits?
They seem to be willing to make pacts with Crow's druids. It would have been interesting to see Stag have the DarkRebirth skill

And yea, I wish I was there... I can't believe they asked Glomdoring for "help". That was a very poor way to word it... they should not have mentioned that White Hart was in dire need, and he needs their help, etc.
Just should have mentioned the spirits as a source of power, nothing more.

I've got the whole thing logged.

We were told we couldn't keep them. Miakoda said they'd doom the Serenwilde, that seems pretty clear enough, yes? That's part of my first long quote of the log (not the talks one).

The whole Basin already knew Hart was dead. It was said at Charune's fulcrux. And I wish you'd've been there too.

The Crow-user makes a pact with one of the dark spirits, offering it the chance to gain a new body. When the Crow-user dies, the spirit draws their soul back to their nest to intertwine with it as it forms a new body, thus, the dark spirit gains a physical form in the way of the crow user.
Only works on prime.
And I believe it only works on every other death.
When you are possessed by the spirit, it will try to protect its new body by dealing afflictions based on how injured the druid is.

Let me give you a litte hint about Glomdoring.. if its not happening in our forest, we don't know about it.

So, 50% transmigrate with a twist. Couldn't they just Transmigrate the other half of the time then? We've never had anyone have access to 2 personal res skills before. I assume that Blacktalon can't have deepbond and this skill up at the same time?
Xavius2006-06-11 22:50:06
I think you're all lucky that you got Yeralih the Seren sympathizer instead of me that day. I would have demanded Hart himself! Hart can lie dead in Serenwilde or live in Glomdoring. If you wish to serve Hart, you can submit to the Shadow Court and move.
Ah, but no. I was babysitting. Oh well!

I dunno. I don't even know how much experience it saves. It might just cut the loss from praying, but still make them suffer the initial experience loss, where other things don't (or at least lessen it)

Wasn't an option. Plus, with all the talk from Miakoda of Crow/Hart and their forests, I doubt they could live anywhere else.

Nejii: We do not take fae that do not wish to be bound to Mother Moon.
(...except, well, any fae that wants to be bound to Mother Night. They're stupid. They don't count.)
Nejii/Tsuki: We do not condone killing the fae.
(...except the ones bound to Mother Night. Nevermind the fact that Glomdoring outlawed it. Oh, and ours doesn't really count, since, well...it doesn't. Yeah. That's is.)
Gregori: We support a ceasefire with Glomdoring.
(Psst. Kalodan. I see some Gloms in Skarch. Go kill them for being too close to Dairuchi.)

Heh kalodans funny, hes done more harmful things to serenwilde just by being himself than any mag or glom ever has It was funny watchin him run around after butter threatening to hit her with a rock.

That's not what I actually said, as I already explained to you. It's the Fae that wanted to stay in Faethorn that we weren't taking with.

EDIT: Actually, I'm not sure WHEN this was actually asked of us, so it might have been before it came to be such that the only way to rescue Fae Glomdoring had enslaved was to kill them then put them in the Well of Souls.

And Elryn, you tried to use to many flowery words. Should have kept it simple and got your point across, that the Glomdoring would have been gaining to simply take the spirits with no other agreements necessary.
Well, I didn't realize we were going to take turns in speaking, and do it in 10 seconds each. I was hoping for a more drawn out negotiations.
Anyway, I've already shown Shayle how much the 'acknowledgement' means to me.
Edit: And I did try to not say that he was going to be deaded forever if they didn't help, but it was obvious he was in trouble. I was just appealing to a different side of them. I was hoping the shame and debasement we were going through would please them enough to want to have something over us, and secondly that saying there was nothing better we could give them than the spirits would appeal to their calculating mindset.
If I did poorly, I'm sorry... I was hoping someone else would speak instead of me, but it didn't eventuate.
Shayle2006-06-12 02:16:25
I have to admit, I was a little panicked myself in the situation as I had no idea Hart was dead (not paying attention to the Serenwilde event--IC "doesn't matter" ); I had no idea why I was going to Serenwilde. (Lady Viravain says, "Come to My tree and follow Me"...Shayle does as she's told); and "Prepare your demands" came out of the blue. Lots of OOC freaking. Demands? Gah! Probably the most "on the fly" thinking I've had to do yet.
Slightly stressful...totally fun though. And I'm glad it went the way it did, even if Xenthos and I did have near heart attacks OOC.
