Huh, Imperian. Roleplay intensive? Show me, please?
I like the idea of having Bob, a giant igasho says "Blah!" I think it'd make it a little more interesting and some with a long title like Beautiful Faeling of Loving Light, Sysh, the Golden Dreaming Winged-one says "blah!"

Sorry if my words were confusing, I never said Imperian is roleplay intensive. I just said that out of all four IRE MUDs, I've heard people roleplay the most over there. I wouldn't know, I don't play it.

No problem, sorry if I read that wrong. I do play Imperian. We've got too many people who just idiots over there. Imperian does have a rather good mass of players who RP but so does Lusternia. I think they're on par with each other.

I like the idea of making it something like "Daxera, an Imperial Merian, says, etc." and "Daxera, an Imperial Merian, is here." but then you also lose the effect of a title. And automatically putting in the gender might not be so great. For example, someone might purposefully look hard to distinguish between a female or male. Sure, we have honours, but if the person's just standing there you shouldn't be able to tell.

Just curious: how would you add gender?
"Tzekelkan, the he-trill is here."
"He who is named Tzekelkan, a feathered trill is here."
"Tzekelkan, the trill-boy is here."
"A trill is here. The trill is a he. He is called Tzekelkan. Tzekelkan is done now."
EDIT: Otherwise, I love the idea though.

Tzekelkan, a male trill, is here.

You're right.

I don't think that's really necessary. You can just read the next sentence that says 'He is wielding a shadowy black cat in his left hand.' I like the racial thing, as I have plenty of jokes to crack on furrikin and the like , and it would help a lot in combat. 'Posidous, Scholarly Tae'dae is here. He is wielding a regal purple sling in his right hand.'
Now you know to start Blasting Posidous into oblivion because he has Tae'dae weaknesses. Notice the race however. I know quite a few mages (including myself) that generally walk around disguised as a different race. This would finally make the changeself illusion worthwhile as well as make racial weaknesses mean something, instead of people just wading in with their most powerful magics or slasshing at injured body parts.

Lusternia has a perfectly good explaination in the game universe's metaphysics as to why we know everyone's names anyway: aetherstrands. Everyone has one, and one's name is "written" upon them. We use this when teleporting to someone, or tesseracting to them, or sending them a tell. They're like... spiritual nametags with handles
