Should Vesar switch to Paladin? Would probably take up sacraments and a two-hander.
Pros and cons? I know about the lesson loss, so don't cite that one.
Oh, and I'd probably put half the runes available on the blade (ie 1 each of the level 3 runes + a damage rune.)

Vesar should go Nihilist GM!
Tzekelkan2006-06-05 00:26:21
Honestly, you're the most famous Aquamancer I know... it's like "Vesar?", "Oh, Vesar, the Aquamancer!"
But it's up to you, in the end. Although I have heard that warriors have been nerfed recently.

Come on.. serious suggestions only, please...
Unknown2006-06-05 00:34:35
From what I see of you, it looks like you've done all you can in the Aquas and just hang around the Pool with the occasional raid/defense, so... for a combatant like you I think going to Paladins would do you good. Con is that psionics are uber strong and you'd be losing that advantage, but pro is that you can be tanky and be badass like Daevos. But you could wait a bit and ask Geb how the transition was, since he already did it.
Terenas2006-06-05 01:23:13
Right now warriors are substantially supbar to what we were once. I would personally wait until the admins get done making changes to the class before making such a large change of profession.
Forren2006-06-05 02:42:15
Stay in the Aquamancers!
Unknown2006-06-05 02:48:22
You're one of the more intelligent people. I enjoy you.
On the other hand, I'm not sure how enjoyable you find the Aquamancers. But I would wait at least until the second warrior summit.

Do you know something I don't?

I think its just best to wait for the envoy stuff finishes up, Im waiting for the same thing before I make a new main charecter so it helps not having to regret lossing all those lessons and credits switching guilds. Oh and yes switching from mage to warrior hurts alot.

Second summit just ended, they're busy on coding for the next couple of weeks, no more balance changes until then. No discussion about a new summit yet, either. It's going to be a bit of a wait.

You were an aquamancer since day one. Adding this up to the godly skill known as Psionics, and the mindfully dull forging of weapons and armour, I would say joining Paladins would do you simply no good.
Unknown2006-06-05 12:41:33
@Xenthos: That's all I was refering to. The second envoy summit aimed at warriors. I'm just out of the loop and missed the fact that it had just taken place. Or we could allow me to save face and pretend I was talking about the implimentation of said summit discussion.

The thing is, I'm looking for a change. Mage combat has devolved to "Burst/Burst/Burst/Kill" with a few other combos and some illusions thrown in. Not really exciting. And I hate hate hate demesnes, which is why I never really fight with one.

Speaking as a filthy, filthy guildhopper, who has sampled the majority of the guilds within Lusternia, I'd say the richest and most interesting combat in the game is found in the guardian class. It's more skillful than mage combat and less repetitive than warrior combat, and has innumerable different strategies and combos to be utilized.
Added to that, the Celestines are one of the most solid guilds in Lusty at the moment in terms of combat skills.

Celestine combat seems to be soulless, attempt inquisiton until you get it off then throw soulless. I've not seen a lot of variaty other than that from the celestine combatants.
Acrune2006-06-05 23:16:49
The paladins keep electing Rafael for their champion. Considering such, the Paladins can't be a terribly great guild, and you should stay with us because the Aquamancers are the coolest.
