Yea...was trying to rescue flying Fae with Urazial's demesne attacking me in Faethorn a while ago. Didn't really bother me, but was annoying in that it kept pulling me down. Geo I'd have been in a lot more trouble. dry.gif
Narses2006-06-23 18:57:33
The trick is to time treelife to trigger a second before the whole demesne strikes. The damage you get from Stonerain and Hailstorm isn't much anyways... the whole point is to stop you from getting away and into the place they want you to be. The canopies is the place where -all- druidic effects can happen... including sap.

so nyah.

Geos have lodestone or something that pulls you down, giving fractureskull, amnesia, concussion, or whatever falling on your head does. Of course, levitate -would- help against that but I'm too cheap/lazy to get a levitate

Stonerain knocks from the air, lodestone strips levitation and stuns i believe, and tremors knocks down and can break legs, unless you have levitation up. Stonerain also creates the rubble.

I think getting pyromancers would be great, we'd finally be able to have those Trill Wing bbq's Denny's always talking about...haha, Tervic and Doman's gonna kill me...

I'll get the grill , you get the sauce, and we'll make trill burgers.
Diamondais2006-07-02 02:00:54
You could do so already if you wished, theres the Merian Steak already. sleep.gif And if I still played Dia Id smack you.
Jadryga2006-07-04 09:58:53
Ooh, as the official creator of merian steaks, I shall prepare a trill dish to be unleashed when Hallifax comes into existence.

If anybody is interested, check out the book I wrote on the topic, Gaudiguch: Reflections on the Lost City. It has some interesting tidbits in there.

To save Viravain the time posting here, she has officially said that none of the lost organizations will be released until there's a playerbase large enough to support them.

But it should be frickin' awesome when they do come out.

That's what I've been thinking as well: It all comes down to numbers:
For example:

I'd say on average, we have about... 60, 70, 80 people on, Average, and at the peak times (evening, etc.) we are just barely skimming the triple digets, the most i've seen is about 110ish, and that was quite brief.

So, on average there are ABOUT, give or take, 15, 16, 17 people on for each nexus (commune/city).

At peak hours, there are about 25 people on for each nexus. (Give or take)

Let's say the average is about 16 people per nexus. 15x7 is 105. So, we'd have to be averaging 100 people or so throughout the day, for the other 3 nexuses to be put in play.

I'd say that right now, we might be able to get away with 1 nexus added, and still have a decent population in all five.

Then again, that's just me.

Not to sound harsh, but I'm sure the administration has much more of an idea about weather it would work or not than you do. Were you here for the creation of Glomdoring, by any chance?
Hazar2006-07-28 17:00:04
You both lose major points for necroing a twice-necroed thread who's subject matter has been BEAT TO DEATH.

what? , the player base i have been noticing at peak times is nearing 150 at most. sometimes 130, highest normally I have seen at least 80 or so, unless your refering to when Glomdoring was out then I stand corrected but this is the current peak ,which I indeed take a look at.

in fact right now there are currently 121 players online. way more than we had years ago. it's nice, keep it up
Sylphas2006-07-28 19:44:22
The thing is, right now we're not really full for each community. If we have 30 per nexus logged on most of the time, putting in a few more would work.
Dysolis2006-07-29 04:32:02
that's of course if you include the people coming in for the new cities, and the ones who are coming back for them. if you include those factors then we should have a good size player base of 200 at least, 250 maybe.

You're being far, far too optimistic. There aren't even enough members in the "old cities" movement full stop past AND present (keep in mind there's people who would stay in their current org too) to account for a consistent increase of that size.
Sylphas2006-07-29 14:30:41
Achaea has a couple hundred more people logged in on average than we do, and they only have 6 cities.
Genos2006-07-29 15:53:48
Imperian has three cities and three councils and only has about 50 more people than us usually.

Granted I think the structure of the councils is a bit different but still.
Diamondais2006-07-29 16:05:42
Imperian and Achaea can also support Rogues or Guild followers only. I used to think alongside Dysolis, but now Im just not that optimistic on the whole matter.
