I'm sure other people have noticed besides me, so maybe you can answer this for me:
Why has Glomdoring basically closed off from the rest of the basin? Are they just afraid of everyone else, or do they think they are too high and mighty to bother themselves with the rest of us?
Or has Shayle finally gone off her rocker and ordered a complete shutdown from all other forms of life outside of the Glomdoring?
Any ideas?

It's basically because it's against Glomdoring's roleplay to be chummy with Serenwilde and Celest, added to that thing about those two crying "Taint, taint!" at the sight of us. And Magnagora doing shady things in Faethorn provoked a reaction since it's now ruled by Night, which somehow resulted in Magnagora banning us from all their territories under threat of assault on sight.
Or something like that. Confusing's the right word.

Its because of ashteru, glom already banned seren and celest ages ago. Then recently ashteru left and glomdoring got annoyed at this and banned mag from the glomdoring forest.
So really its all ashterus fault

Nahhh.
Glomdoring banned Maggy's first, and the D Man was sufficiently pissed to reciprocate in kind.

I thought Glomdoring only banned everyone but those of Glomdoring from Glomdoring territory (i.e. the Forest itself ) because of Magnagorans participating in some ritual to destroy the wyrd or something to that effect.. Then Night took over Faethorn, some Magnagorans decided to raid, and everything went downhill after that.

Nah, that's just senseless propaganda.
It's entirely Glomdoring's fault. You should be apologising to Magnagora...
... or even better, joining it. DO IT.

Glomdoring has always been isolationist.
Nothing Matters but Glomdoring!
And it was Khazual that made everything go bad, not Daevos.

The ritual you perhaps are thinking of was ashteru leaving to go to mag.
Basically what happened
Ashteru left and went to mag with kahazuls help
glomdoring went- OMG NO
Kahazul went- OMG YES
Glomdoring went-complain to daevos
Daevos went-retort to complaint
Glomdoring went-zomg ban all mags
Mag went- wtf!!11 ban gloms essence hunting
Daganev2006-06-07 18:46:56
Was ashteru's ritual done RL days before Ashteru actually left?
ferlas2006-06-07 18:54:30
No it happened like the instant he left, then the mags got banned like a rl day or three after he left.
Ashteru2006-06-07 19:24:33
HEYZ, LOOK! ANOTHER WAR!
ZOMG, LET'S BLAME ASHTERU!
Seriously....I already get the fault for two wars now....-.-

All that's left is going off to annihilate Seren novices to complete the triangle...
Archthron2006-06-07 19:29:03
So, perhaps you should stop starting them, right?

Hey, I don't decide to make wars.
Not my fault that Glom declared war on Seren when Kalo and I did our duty in Faethorn.
Not my fault that Glom declared war on Mag when I wanted a change in my character.
Hmm....I see a pattern there. -.-
How about you blame the people that actually declare war....

Yesss, it's not your fault that you decided to do something.
Especially when the first one was you and Kalodan deciding to declare war yourselves, not "doing your duty" . (Or, perhaps, "doing your duty" means "declaring war"?)
Ashteru2006-06-07 19:41:41
Psh, I did what Glomdoring does nowadays too, guarding the fae! Back then you guys still killed them.
And it's not my fault that I do something and others make a big fuss about it. >.<

The *way* you do something is DEFINITELY your fault.
