I'm surprised there aren't more titans/demigods around considering how sweet astral is nowadays. And by deaths being so painful that only applies to people stupid enough to die on prime without vitae up, death with conglute means nothing in comparison.

That's definitely a Kaervas problem, and not a Symbol problem. In 90-95% of circumstances, Symbol will do less than Cosmicfire would.

Hm, in that case shouldn't Kaervas's Cosmicfire do more? Shamarah is a merian (right?) and the 50% fire would hurt more. Or hm, he does have access to fire-prevention defs. Nevermind.

27 is crazy enough.
How does cosmicfire damage compare to symbol damage with such a high intelligence? I can see no log, so don't complain about symbols when cosmicfire could possibly do more. (I don't think it would. Let's check it out though, not assume).
PS. 27 stats shouldn't be possible... but hey, Ascension after all.

Actually I havnt seen kaervas cosmic fire yet, soo like it could be worth checking out, but remember different things scale differently to int so it could be different etcetc

Kaervas being a demigod isn't the only reason that damage was so huge, it's resistances too. Mages have the worst magic resistance in the game. Disregarding the magic skill, all they have is a robes proof.

Celestines, on the other hand, are just behind wiccans in magic resistance. Draconis (15%) + Benediction Resistance (10%) + Halo (8%) + Robes (10%) means that symbols will hurt Thoros alot less than it hurts Shamarah.

i dont have the log but kaervas was hitting me pretty damn hard when i fought with him too so its not just mages that take heavy hits

He does 1k damage with his symbol to me and like 1100 1200 damage with his cosmic fire, so against merians and stuff cosmic fire seems the better option.
