I think that they might think it's cute, and that's the reason they won't do it. Because they want to RP battle-hardened soldiers, stern scholars, etc, and don't want to be associated with cute.

Hey! There is NOTHING wrong with cute in RP. That's something else I get annoyed with. Everyone assuming that being cute and playful and friendly is just someone unable to roleplay. Why does a scholar have to be stern? Why can't someone be both learned and fun? I get kind of tired of hearing 'Oh my GOD that person just smiled! Don't they know how to RP?!' Maybe some people don't want to roleplay emotionles drones? And I happen to see plenty of roleplay in Celest. Maybe it's not all roleplay that fits into the grumpy, stoic, emotionless, stern, glowering mold, but it's there. And there are plenty of grumpy, stoic, emotionless, stern, glowering roleplayers and roleplay going on too.



Anyway... this guy had been playing with the cat earlier. And seemed to think the cat was cute and being able to pick it up and it purring and everything was cute. I just thought I'd let them know the cats weren't just cute and all (even though I personally think the little quest itself is cute), so I hinted there was someone in the Inn who might like a cat and then I even went so far as to help them find the Inn... and then they were like 50 gold? Worthless! I have 2000 times that!

And wow... I AM grumpy this morning!
