Now, is this accurate? Perhaps, perhaps not. It's ambiguous.
Which is all Elryn's asking for on the trueground message, I should think something glom faught hard for and gained would be something they wished for others, but I guess not.

In other rants...
I hate having to summon a maiden 4-5 times in a row to get defences off of it, yes great RP reasons.. the madien is 'fickle' but could we PLEASE have it a LITTLE less random? right now it seems to be anywhere from half a second to 5 minutes, maybe 1-3 minutes would be better. Having to summon it multiple times in a row before it does anything is frustrating.
Benedition: It could be that even though benidiction/maiden are the same coding the maiden in particular acts weird.. or maybe I've just not had enough beneditions, you can't kill the benedition like you can the maiden.. but that's another rant.. anywho if any celestians have the same problem with their skill, chime in.

Benedictions last a set amount of time, but Maiden is far better, IMO. Benediction costs 3 power, compared to Maiden's 1, and only hits about 6 times within its length. Maiden hits almost every second.

I know that breaking up IC doesn't effect you OOC but... the way it happened, the way she dumped me, reminded me of my painful past about the time I took a girl in after her BF dumped her, then for the next few months we had good times together and I was always with her, I almost sacrifice my time and life for her...
Then in the end, she just told me that I am not the one for her and returns to her BF who dumped her...
*sigh* guess Turgeis' quests to search for a woman to love still continues.
dude, I don't want to sound mean or something. But HELL, you are emo.

Ha! Most of the time you have to summon the maiden THREE times before you even get anything. Most of the time it's summon, and then she skips out with a smile.

I'm getting pissed off with people who seem to think it's acceptable to decide that they're in love with someone else's spouse/fiance(e)/steady partner, and then go around trying to guilt trip the object of their affections and bully the current person they're with into leaving. Do they seriously think that's supposed to impress someone, and make them get what they want? Even if the person does choose to go with you, they will always resent you, because they did it jut so that you wouldn't leave the game, hurt yourself, whatever.
If you're a little over sensitive, you may want to skip the rest of this. Society has become way to tolerant of this type of behaviour, people threatening to hurt themselves or kill themselves just to get attention or whatever it is they want. And we play along with it because we don't want to waste human life or something like that. Seriously, let the emos hurt themselves and maybe they'll stop wasting everyone's time. Address the problem at the root level, what people seem to think is acceptable. There's a really poor joke out there that attempted suicide should be punishable by death. Horrible thought, but people don't really want to die, they just attempt suicide for the attention. Maybe it should be punishable by institutionalization, that's a little more reasonable, and has a chance of doing them some good.
Our "enlightened" state as humans is good and all, but natural selection works for a reason. A depressive gazelle is just lunch for the next lion that happens by. When life is a struggle, you learn to struggle with it and be happy.
Sorry if I've offended anyone with this, or if you have had situations of suicide or people with problems that have been close to you. I don't mean to hurt, but to say that we're not making things any better.

Honestly I'd rather have it be 3 power if I was guaranteed that it would actually do something for me.
I think that might be the fault of Wicca actually, all the fae are 1p skills, and are organized to be only as strong as a 1p skill dictates.

Ashteru2006-09-05 16:39:26
Well, a demon/angel costs five power, and if we die, the attacker usually has time to kill it as well, making us use another 5 power to summon!

Bah, like how people kill hunting companions out of spite. I lost two simply by walking into the wrong place by accident. The latest was walked into Acknor under Celest control with a troupe of cows and pilgrims because I wasn't paying attention. I was -clearly- not going in for a fight. Next thing I know I'm dead from guards, Mitch has killed my hunting companion, given the cows and pilgrims to another novice, and then proceeds to try to summon me out of Serenwilde so he can "teach me a lesson". Bah, I hate trying to think of new names for those hunting companions. How many is that now, Derowick, Saverno, Karani, Taarg, and unamed one (who I had 2 IC days), and I can't remember the other...

We interupt your normal Lusternian ranting for a special episde of Days of My Life.
Dear guy who just broke up with me,
I get it, you don't want to be with me. I got that when you broke up with me. Can you please stop reminding me of this fact? I am trying to get on with my life, and if we are to ever be friends, as you so desire, then you have to stop.
Stop thinking that ever little thing I say is my way of wriggling back into your heart. Stop telling me it's never going to work. And will you please stop telling me that if I want to talk about it, you're here for me? Out of all the people I see on a day-to-day basis, who know what is going on, you're probably the least likely person I am to tell. Do you know why? Because you're the REASON for it.
Yes, if I were wanting to work things with you and trying to get back with you, then I'd speak with you. As I clearly do not, and have stated to you quite a few times this past week, want to try to work it out I will go instead to my friends who I can cry on their shoulder. Where they will hit me upside the head for wanting to even be friends with you, or to try and work things out.
I hurt enough, now please stop rubbing it in.
Thanks,
The real life Ista (aka Jennifer)

My random rant of the day:
I'm tired of druids (read: Hartstone), primarily druids who have no actual combat prowess, complaining about how terrible the class is. Munsia was an awesome druid/hartstone - both in her demesne and outside of it. Ecology is an awesome skillset for group raiding. I remember Munsia just whoring valley so it tore a group apart and at any given time was keeping 2-3 in the air so their allies could be killed. I remember Munsia mowing down groups with mass desert whoring, literally getting people up to 1000+ bleeding... and when she died, Munsia would say, "Oh well, I transmigrated and lost nothing. Hahahaha."
On a slighty more Seren-edged rant, I love how people who have access to beam/flow/spores (which everyone can use unlike hermit), which should in theory make them totally 110% unkillable in Ethereal Serenwilde because at any given time, you can flow back to a safe target, whine terribly about beckon (which Hartstone, ironically, resist 85% of the time with roots/red/rock/sunshine) when they are incapable of having a slew of Serenguard block or at the very least, shield and sit until ready to move.

Watch it. We aren't shock tanks for everyone else to take advantage of when it's convenient for them.
And yes, Munsia was an awesome fighter. Pity it didn't make up for her opinion of others, which is why I believe she is no longer with the Seren.

Eh? There are Serens who literally claimed it wasn't possible to "stop" beckon after dying in a room with 5+ Serenguard who just didn't block. That's not an example of over powered abilities (ie. beckon). It is an example of ignorance.

That is the most retarded statement I've heard in a long time. This is exactly what you are. You are warriors. You are the front line. You are the Protectors of the frack'n People. WTF does that entail if not protecting the people?
Yeah, that's what I thought. Did I use enough italics to get it through your head? You are the shock tanks for everyone else to hide behind. Its what you're built for. Deal with it, or go be a Wiccan, where you can sit in a coven behind the Serenguard.
