That is the most retarded statement I've heard in a long time. This is exactly what you are. You are warriors. You are the front line. You are the Protectors of the frack'n People. WTF does that entail if not protecting the people?
Yeah, that's what I thought. Did I use enough italics to get it through your head? You are the shock tanks for everyone else to hide behind. Its what you're built for. Deal with it, or go be a Wiccan, where you can sit in a coven behind the Serenguard.
Umm... no. We are the warriors, yes, and it is out duty to protect the people. And we will gladly do it. What pisses me off is when the Moondancers and Hartstone make all the calls then go "Hmm... oh yeah, the Serenguard... well, we'll just throw them up there too." Or when we get yelled at because we didnt' flow to them, or when they want us to open our guild hall again so they can use part of it when they've never had theirs open since I've been in the realms.
Now, it doesn't happen all the time of course. But when it does, it frustrates me. Hence the rant-like nature of the statement, as this is Idiots.

What the... double post.

Lovely rant, but I don't see how that applies to my rant (to which you replied) about beckon complaining when most Serenguard aren't combat savvy enough to block.
Everiine2006-09-05 18:59:48
It was the offhand way in which you said Just have a Serenguard do it, which suddenly awakened that rant in my head.
Xenthos2006-09-05 19:02:51
People actually ask me why I can't flow from time to time, too.

dood, you don't try hard enough.
Daganev2006-09-05 19:04:38
Its probabbly one of the most fustrating aspects of Commune combat. the warriors have to follow the druids/wiccans. hard to be a meatshield if your not the first target into the room.
Everiine2006-09-05 19:04:45
The best is when they ask if I follow Moon. I say no and they say Oh, you follow Stag, to which I also reply No. Then they get all confused and leave without even trying to figure it out.
Forren2006-09-05 19:14:36
If you have knights and they're not blocking to prevent beckon, then it's your own damn fault if you're beckoned away.

I'm tired of druids (read: Hartstone), primarily druids who have no actual combat prowess, complaining about how terrible the class is. Munsia was an awesome druid/hartstone - both in her demesne and outside of it.
I can agree about Druids being pretty awesome but I don't think Munsia was as great as you made her out. The class is inheritantly overpowered in a number of aspects since Demesne timing + Sap + Vine alone would kill almost anyone.

I think Glom has it easiest, with their ability to get every member of their force off the ground all together.
Wiccans have their broom
Crow users have their wings
And Trackers/Night Ebonguard can be hoisted by Crow users.
Actually, I think that would be one of the coolest damn forms of attack on the planet. A bunch of Blacktalon hoisting a bunch of Night Ebonguard and flying them over the enemy and dropping them, so you get a bunch of warriors dropping out of the sky and attacking all of a sudden

How come Crow users get hoist but Trill don't? :pout: There's another rant topic for you.

Because Trill don't have talons and aren't magically empowered?

Gosh darn it if I'm strong enough to carry a lifeless corpse I should be strong enough to carry a lively one!

You want to carry a lively corpse?
Would that be... a lich? Or a zombie?
Everiine2006-09-05 19:26:34
Hmm... either way, I still can't carry them mechanically in game

I have to agree with Forren and the rest of Celest's players. Beckon is very easy to stop even without knights blocking.

Slinging rad runes back at the beckoner is always fun

And here's what makes me feel ranty and cranky.
Each time something gets downgraded, people who had that ability either want:
1. To upgrade it in some other area
2. To have something else in return
or 3. To downgrade something from other skills
TAKE THE NERF-BEATING LIKE A MAN!! (not directed at anyone)

Steve Irwin getting killed by a ing stingray. And then when I see the news story, they show that video of him waving his baby in front of the crocodile, just to make him look like an ass.
