Everyone loves me now cos I inducted Munsia into Magnagora GO ME!!!!!!!!
Oh... my... God...
On another note, I hate impatient newbies. Ev is in his family's manse, trying to console his brother who'd had a very rough time. A newbie asks Ev if he can induct him into the Serenwilde and Serenguard, and Ev says sure. Just give him a few minutes, since his brother is almost on the verge of tears. Next thing I know, Arundor is asking if anyone has objections to the newbie joining the Serenguard once the Ambassador welcomes him. Ev is like "WTF?" and decides he doesn't like impatient newbies.

I wonder how long will she behave in Magnagora this time?
Everiine2006-09-07 04:27:10
My guess is not very long. That seems to be difficult for Munsia.
Unknown2006-09-07 04:27:54
a week
Sarrasri2006-09-07 04:36:44
I hate that when I log on not wanting to do the Ambassador duties, I get people who want to be inducted and then I even get an objection, which I'm really not into dealing with. My brain isn't functioning enough right now to do it. I also hate that I feel like being Ambassador is starting to become tedious but I still really like the work most of the time.
Unknown2006-09-07 04:56:23
You can pass them on to one of the aides if it isn't something that needs too much worry about, can't you?
Sarrasri2006-09-07 05:01:38
I can for the welcoming stuff. I suck at delegating work though. I'm too nice to interrupt whatever my aides might be doing. And there's the super tedious job of writing down enemies. Since the book can only be written in by people who are in the TMC clan, that means I have to write them all down. The war made that job go from relaxing to something I put off until I can't anymore. And I can't delegate that because other ministers who are my aides have their own jobs to do. *sagenod*

Did what I said for you when I came on during that help at all?
Shamarah2006-09-07 12:09:19
You use a book to write down enemy statuses? Just use a project, much easier!
Veonira2006-09-07 13:03:00
NOOOOOOOOOOOO.
(See Asarnil's post).
To give some more reasoning. I don't see why we would let someone in who is all pro-Hajamin especially when they have spent their entire career in this game annoying us and doing things against us. Makes no sense to me.

Aha, that explains the message Everiine just got from the Ambassador...

Maybe she's devoted the guy who had Hajamin for lunch now?

He wasn't really eaten, more absorbed. He is one with the collective now. Resistance is futile.

All the more reason to be devoted to him.

You use a book to write down enemy statuses? Just use a project, much easier!
Benefits of a book include:
- dividing up different pages by the alphabet, to find a particular name more easily than scanning a long list (organization, yay!)
- enough space to write more about the reason for enemying and, in some cases, potential/requirements for a pardon if the individual should seek it, without cluttering up an already-long list of names (as a project tends to become)
- less likely to be completely erased, even if by accident, because that actually happened in the past
- pretty, and more immersion *sagenod*
Disadvantages of a book:
- having to physically get the book to refer to it and store it somewhere. We've got three copies, keyed to TMC, and storage includes a chest in the council room (we've been wishing for awhile that bookshelves could be made for clans, or that we could get a bookstand or something to attach it to).
- having to physically take the book to a desk/chair to add things to it
Benefits outweigh disadvantages.

So I know who to bribe if I want to lower my fine.
Reiha2006-09-08 09:44:28
Makes me sad when people are mad at me OOCly for letting saying I would like to sort of attend to my real life
Person: Hey, wanna (blah blah blah)
Me: No, sorry, got to talk with the hubby. (reiha's hubby being player's bf)
Person : (asks again)
Me: No, really sorry!
Then procedes to be mean to me hence afterwards, OOCly and ICly
*emo sigh*
On a happy note, I popped out another kid! Whoohoooo
Edit: And said person knows Reiha's hubby is her boyfriend in real life and has a bit of priority over the game

Rant: If you're doing precautionary enemying, or whatever you'd like to call it, send them a message about it. You don't have to be syrupy or apologetic ... in fact, you can be as stern and threatening or whatever as you'd like. But don't be lazy, explain yourself and the circumstances (even if we all can guess). Otherwise, it feels like an invitation to earn the status.
