C'mon, who wants to play in an Org who keeps losing? Let's balance the gameplay a bit ok?
When hell/hades/etc. manages to freeze over (hypothetical or whateva)(Which isn't very likely), will there be "balanced" game play. :\\ Personally, I think everyone just kind of needs to stop whinning for a bit. Except for those who haven't been whining. I give you, non-whiners, clearance to whine now.

The war does get really annoying being raided every single day at times there's nothing you can do about it, especially when if we try to fight back we just...get massively stunned and passively moved into guards at the pool. Of course we'll get over it, we got over Magnagora's 18-hour Faethorn raids (although quite a few people quit because of that too) but that doesn't mean it's not frustrating.

I personally have no qualms with playing on the losing side. Can be very interesting to play the 'underdog', or something along those lines. Makes your few victories all the sweeter, and you get to play at being the ragtag gang of rebels.
Furien2006-09-11 01:34:04
Right. That, too.
I'll live, still. Just 4.5 hours I can spend (with a lesson in mind) on a honors quest I'm allowed to do.

Being on the losing side isn't the problem. It's when you can't really do anything else when you try to play because you're always repairing what was lost when you were gone/dying/raiding to prevent (or rather, fail to prevent) it from being lost again that it becomes boring.
EDIT: and tsk to you pro-lost city Talnaras, I'll have to get your great uncle to talk to you *peer*

If you don't like the war, just give Celest its very easy requests
Shiri2006-09-11 01:41:12
It's not like there's no consideration of the demands going on, but I want to see another round of Supernal pwnage first so we can end the war on a more neutral note than the Avatars dying time after time with no recompense.

To be fair I didn't say you couldn't do it
I asked why someone in my order -would- be doing it, considering my feelings on cities.
Unknown2006-09-11 01:43:15
Why? The Wilde doesn't need or have to care about angels. And not all goverments "rein" in their problematic citizens. I'm sure Celest doesn't always rein in their problematic citizens either. 'sides, if Serenwilde was to do that it'd be like a slap on the wrist and "no!" for ixion or who-ever. Besides, why should the Wilde honor Celest's request, weren't they the ones who totally screwed everything up?

I think I'm beginning to imagine the Player behind Lord Charune is playing in a Farm, awaaaaaaaaaaay from Cities and such with nothing but his comp and his trusty connection from who knows what

To be honest, I'm VERY sick of the raiding. Almost every time I get in (9 out of 10) there is raiding going on. So, I have to hear to Etherwilde, get deffed up, sit there for half an hour, waiting for something to happen, and then to die. At least once, usually twice. Then I'm last rited, and I pray.
Sadly, Ista is happy to die for Serenwilde. I hate it though, and the only way I can get through it is to pretend I'm Reg Shoe from Night Watch. 'Truth, Justice, Freedom, Resonably priced love, and a hard boiled egg!'
Yeah, I need help.
If you don't like raiding, make a glom alt.

The Holy Celestine Empire went through with Project Cosmic Hope thus Kethuru was released? Some people could consider that "screwing everything up."

Heh, Serenwilde nearly burnt down its own forest, then spawned a legion of undead intent on destroying the wilderness.
Celest ain't the only ones.
Shiri2006-09-11 01:53:45
That didn't screw it up for everyone else though! Just us. Hey, Glomdoring even got perks.

Actually I live in a city, a quaint little 2 bedroom apartment, that overheats in the summer and freezes in the winter, but is close to the beer store so it is all good.

Guess I don't remember reading something like that. Explain please?

I'm assuming it's referring to the event with Grutina Oakvine's spirits.
