Ouch. That's terrible. And you really shouldn't feel bad, cause once you have an injury like that, you're WAY more prone to getting hurt there again. Are you at least going to be pampered a bit after the surgery?
I don't think so. Probably be drugged and incoherent for the week afterwards, if that counts.

Some people'd be satisfied with that
Sorry to hear about your knee though, seems like everyone has some form of knee trouble.

You know how most people's feet have arches in them that help support you? Mine have almost no arches. This means that my feet give less support, so I have to wear orthotics in my shoes that will hopefully help to give my feet a better shape over a long period of time. And while it's not particularly impairing it gets annoying because my feet begin to hurt madly after walking or even standing for a long period of time, but before anyone else's would be particularly sore.

Awww...Shayle, heres another hug.

I hate how smudge sticks use up herbs in the arena and/or won't spit them back out when you leave it. Overpowered or underpowered, it sucks for us low-income people.
Gelo2006-09-14 02:58:22
Shayle: Dont worry dear, my prayers will include you.
I work about 60 hours a week average too, 20 hours to travel every week... 80 hours total. We could all use some hug

See what I mean? People do this all the time. I'm griefing them... but really, they just never took the time to ask why I'm attacking them.
I don't jump and kill people at random. I never have any bloody suspects to match the claims made against me so I think that if anything absolves me of such accusations.
When someone dies, it is -easy- to say "Hey, Narsrim killed me for no reason at all! Unfair, griefing." I've had one of the persons on my suspect list ACCUSE ME of GRIEFING THEM when THEY JUMPED ME in the Sea of Despair. Usually, that isn't the case.
You mean you don't jump and kill people at random on prime. Because if it's not on prime it's not griefing since they can't get suspect. Or I suppose you have some valid reason for attacking me while grubbing on Earth? Could be because I've helped defend against you, or maybe I'm such a dangerous enemy of Celest that you wait until I'm on my own and vulnerable so you can teach me a lesson. Get over yourself already.

I find it funny how people come to me asking to be in the Serenguard when they won't give up their allegiance to another organization. Just how does one expect to protect one organization when their allegiance is to another? I can see if you are a rogue and want to join the Serenguard and not the commune, because then you do your duty, but have no political allegiances. This was the person's reasoing, relayed by Arundor:
Sorry guys, we train Serenguard, protectors of the Seren people. If that's what you consider "restrictions on your freedom", you don't belong in the Serenguard, end of story, period.

Argh, I have flat fleet too. It took me forever to get around to getting some inserts for my shoes, so I endured constant foot agony for years. It's a lot better than it used to be, with them, but it still sucks compared to people who have arches.

What you say makes perfect RPing sense, but OOC I felt really bad for turning her down. I feel bad for the people who want to bash/influence and stay out of politics (avoiding wars, avoid being chased away by territorial organizations, and so forth), but are looking for a place to train their skills.

But that is life for a rogue in Lusternia. You can't say "all I want is to learn everyone's skills but not be involved with anyone else. What, I can't? How dare you say I can't use your guild as a tool to further myself without giving anything back, that's not fair, what about what -I- want?"
But like we agreed, if she was just a rogue we would have considered it. She's already part of another organization. Even if that wasn't the case (and I know there will be some who will come along and argue it) the policies do -clearly- say we don't accept people who want to use us just to learn skills. OOC, I don't feel bad about it at all. You wouldn't accept, say, a Magnagoran into the Serenguard just so they could learn some skills and then leave while they still were Magnagoran citizens, would you?
Arundor2006-09-14 04:58:08
You know what Arundor said IC, so we agree on that. But speaking from a purely OOC perspective... yes. I think Lusternia should be more rogue-friendly. It doesn't harm anyone if some player is learning from our tutor denizen.
Or there should just be an unaligned tutor somewhere.

Psh. You lie that you sincerely want to be a part of the guild and the commune, then you abandon them the moment you graduate and have all your specializations selected.
Amateurs.
Amateurs.
Everiine2006-09-14 05:12:52
Any rogue can learn from any commune/city tutor, they don't discriminate. But all the guild tutors are locked away for a reason- they are there for their guild. And guild skills belong to their guild.
Should Lusternia be more rogue-friendly? Probably, though the whole point of Lusternia in my opinion -is- the guilds. I've tried to explain the guild system to my WoW friends, but they just blink at me. They are used to a guild being just a group of people who like to kill things together. But the guild in Lusternia is the heart of the character's life, their home.
Anyway, that doesn't change the fact that rogues shouldn't get the benefits of being in the guild when all they want is to leave it when they learn their skills.
