To be honest, I like Kalodan as a player, and I don't expect every character to like Tully. So I understand where Elyrin and Sylphas are coming from. I personally don't want the player to feel a lot of grief.

I was more sorry that I misunderstood people's statements about Kalodan, and I misjudged his rank in the Serenwilde, so I ended up confusing things. I just didn't want any novices or citizens getting in trouble for my misunderstanding. (It doesn't help that Kalodan has a Gem and I never know where he's around so I never know if he's at the tree). I usually leave when asked.

The only disappointing thing IMO was that he just attacked and only sent me a few monosyllabic tells. He could have shouted to me, specifically said I should leave Stewartsville instead of "The Serenwilde" (that can be confusing), or said something while I'm at the tree instead of tells, or asked Nejii if I should leave. I would've been more amused if he started calling me a "dirty shortling who gets hags drunk"--at least RP the darn thing. Jeez, if you hate Tully, roleplay it, and do it well! We could've had fun with it.

I suspect like Nejii's post says it's probably a lot of other things that caused this, not just this event. (I didn't expect Charune to get involved).

(Personally, if I was gonna punish him, I think he should be turned into a Dwarf, his skills striped, and forced to be a janitor of one of the villages for 4-6 real-world hours before going back to normal)

Not to mention mages have enough long-range attacks..do they really need one that can go through shield and opens you up for an insta-kill?

Dreambodies can't shield or be insta-killed. Pretty sure that mindblast is only ranged for dreambodies, because I've never been hit with it from a distance myself.

I was assuming if it could be used ranged on dreambodies, that it could be used ranged on normal people.

Well, I think, that if Psions can long-range gank Dreamweavers, Dreamweavers shouldn't need to puncture Psions! Since they've already.. opened their miiiind!

I was also really surprised when Charune got involved, especially since Kalodan was one of His. I thought He'd be defending Kalodan to the bitter end.

And yes, if this had been just the once, Kalodan wouldn't have gotten the boot. Like Munsia, there were lots of little things that built up before the Moonhart Circle went "We've had it!". I remember when I'm positive the SEG almost all should have gotten CDF's for listening to Kalodan and trying to, without permission, ban all New Celest people from the Serenwilde (this was long before the war). Looking back on it, it was so painfully obvious that we were being used to further his fanatical anti-Celest views I don't know why we ever went along with it.

My rant is that I don't like seeing news posts from boards other than public or announce on the forums. I thought I'd wandered into the Achaea forums on accident.

Posting guild, clan, or order messages is a no-no, but posting city doesn't matter... I mean, all you have to do is take 45 seconds to create an alt and you can read them all yourself.

Most people wouldn't bother doing that though which deprives the gossip mill of much needed sustenance.
