And yes, Celest has annexed the inner sea-always have. Just like Mag has the sea of despair.

Just to be clear, there's a difference between taking the initiative to protect a place when it cannot do so for itself and annexation. Do the kelpies know they've been annexed?

yes, and they appreciate it

For what it's worth, Anarias, I've seen you in the Inner Sea a few times, and have even stumbled into you once while there... but I've never bothered you. I make it a general rule to check up on the kelpie/turtle/dolphin populations before acting (it's pretty easy to do that), and from what I'd been able to see it didn't look like you were hunting them. Nice to get confirmation here, since I know there are some serens that DO hunt them.

But yeah. Just thought you should know that not every Celestian that notices you is willing to jump you on the spot.

I'm going to have to call utter BS on this.

I don't think the point of whether the Kelpies like it or not is important. I do have another question though. Why is it fine that Magnagora can annex the Sea of Despair, yet Celest should not be able to annex the Inner Sea? Each of us has interests in the respective areas we have annexed. Why is it ok for one organization, but not ok for the other?

of COURSE you were kicked out and enemied. You were spying! Any organization would do it. You could always get unenemied, go rogue-since you don't really have a strong reason to stay in Mag anyway-you could sell your liquor to everyone that way, and you wouldn't have to worry about being forced into raids

Bull censor.gif , I was not spying. I just happened to belong to a clan that Verithrax had apparently been using to pass information to someone or other. I didn't even find out about it until I logged in one day. was called a traitor and asked to leave the city.

Who said it was ok for Magnagora? Auseklis warned people in open beta that organisations claiming npc territory would essentially get smacked down for the audacity. I just wish that was true. True for everyone. Besides, 'Magnagora does it too' doesn't excuse anything.

Thanks! I appreciate that. The irony I suppose is that when I see others in the Sea I usually hang around a bit longer and then leave if they don't do anything.

I am so pissed off at whomever thought that software piracy was a problem... the only people that software security prevents from using the software are people who use it legally.

All my illegal software works fine. Its my legal software that doesnt'.... ARG!

Celest gave everyone in the clan ample time to leave the clan on their own. You were warned, given time, and you still decided to stay in the clan. Then, as the City said it would, you were kicked out any enemied. Like the city said it would. So what do you hvae to complain about?

you weren't treated unfairly at all. You were dealt with maturely and equally
Arix2006-09-29 01:59:47
no, I was called a traitor in a tell, and then asked to leave.

It was not used as an excuse. The reasoning that Celest and Magnagora both have interests in the areas they protect was used as the excuse for why it should be ok.

The reason why I asked the question is because I have not heard any of you complain about them doing the same thing in Shallach or the Sea of Dread. All I hear are complaints about what Celest is protecting. So if the similar actions being conducted by another organization are not being exposed as a problem, then I feel it is fine for me to question why (With silence concerning what the organization is doing being taken as acceptance).

Silence doesn't mean acceptance.

Having interests in the area isn't the same thing as annexing either. Every org should make sure they know the difference.

Silence does mean acceptance or indifference. If people are willing to stand up and complain about one organization doing it, but remain silent while the other does the same thing then they are displaying a bit of favoritism. So until people are willing to complain about a problem even when their own allies do it, I will continue to see them as being biased and question why they are only speaking up when their opponents perform the distasteful acts.

Also, when the interests you have in an area have a direct effect on the well being of your organization, then plenty times it is an intelligent move to annex the area if those in it can't protect your interests for you. Your own commune does it in Faethorn. Your commune has interests there, and you go and defend it when others enter the area that you feel may harm your interests there.

Nothing below 4800, with a whole bunch sitting at 5500.
