Stupid Celestians, can't I just sit at the Moonhart, relax and try and write a little bit without being molested by a dreamweaver? It's not like I've ever even attacked Celest
EDIT: And to make myself feel better, whoever attacked was a crappy dreamweaver! You accomplished nothing but making me lose three or four sips of mana and three sparkleberry!

Celestians kills the cook cause he's 'evil' so in return some people (like me) kill Surtami as a warning.
Celestians kill Gognigin so in return we kill Marinus
Celestians don't really give a damn, they kill those 'important' denizens so that their enemies will be hindered in getting gold to buy credits (or just get gold).
Really now, if I where that person, I'd just leave the denizens who trade corpses for gold alone but no, cause the people who has everything (trans skill, uber cool arties) or mostly anything ('fighters' a.k.a griefers) will kill them so we'll suffer.
I really wonder where Celest's youngings bash since most of the 'good' bashing grounds are off limits to them? The old times before the stupid rule was implemented, was hunting Aslarans and Krokani, now Krokani is mostly bashed out by Celestians and Gorgogs as well.
So when it comes to bashing, Celest really suck.
Heh, just so you know, I've seen Serenwilders and only one Glom kill the Cook. And if you're going to ask how I know - I check in to see if the cook is alive, and if he is and I leave the room and when somebody walks in, I wait for them to leave and go in to check again, and if he's not there, wait some more, until it's obvious he's just not in the back cooking. Nobody ever admits to killing the cook except Mitch; hey, at least he's honest
I should start standing in the same room from now on with a demesne set up
Furien2006-09-30 16:24:02
Twenty damn Krokani on hand including Kar'chen and still no Surtami

I think any gold giving denizen should be invincible. That's so damn annoying. Especially in Imperian when you're a newbie hunting in Transk. Honestly, can't people just see that it's a unwritten no-no?

I don't know about others, but I kill him to keep the rift shut, not to prevent the getting of gold.

Every player and every organization does it, and it's silly to think that these mobiles should be invulnerable. There are far too many enemies that annoy me when they cause grief for Celest and others, and since I can't get back at them via squishiness (stupid stupid avenger), I resort to killing those denizens. I don't go out of my way to make sure they're dead, but if I bash gorgogs or krokanis, yes, I am going to make sure that I kill the cook and gognigin.
Sadly, there are others who suffer because of this. But ya know, we are at war and all, since when am I supposed to be nice?
I really don't understand that concept...it seems you want me only to fight against you and your organization whenever it's convenient for you (read: when you raid us or kill a Celestian)? Because of status, I can't attack you directly. So, I attack your bank account and your karma.
Oh, and Turgeis, or Hraddon, Lightzout, or whatever you're going by nowadays. Ever since you suicided Turgeis I've heard nothing but attacks on Celest and it's playerbase from you. Half of the time you have no idea what you're talking about. It's enough, we get it, you hated Celest because we didn't put up with your emo attacks. Move. On.

Killing the denizens that give gold is irritating, had to put up with my own commune mates doing it when Im hunting before. Sucks, but I just go offer at the nearest Shrine and go on my way to get something that doesnt take Health/Mana/Bromide to make up the losses.

Hey, this is a ranting thread right? So let me rant in peace at least
Anarias2006-09-30 18:18:17
I'm with Nico on this one. I'd probably go out of my way to do it if I was going to do it at all though.
Geb2006-09-30 18:20:31
I am happy that Reiha came forward and pointed out that another organization does it besides Celest. Anyhow, these same actions have been going on since day one in the game. Each community has its culprits, and I bet each of you (Hraddon included) know of people with whom they associate with that do some of the things that they are only willing to blame their IC enemies for. So why come to the boards and act like any of the actions are unique to just one organization?

One thing that I hate the most is when people have no avenue of revenge they resort to pissing off more people than just trying to kill that 1 or whatever. Screw you, all of you who do this. It's stupid, and it makes people angry to find out "Oh, so and so is dead. Yay! I have to wait this many minutes again." Find another f-cking way of getting back at that person. Don't sit there and ruining someone else's bashing. This is a form of griefing, if you think about it. So in all fairness the important people shouldn't be able to be killed. If a person is hunting in a certain spot and everytime when they finish they find out that the gold-giver is dead, they're probably going to get very upset. Either it needs to be an unwritten rule that every one acknowledges and doesn't do or it needs to become set in stone and people given no way of doing this.

I prefer the use of paranoia over killing them... much more amusing

Its just what happens when you aren't playing a one person game.

angry ranting
Last I checked, we were at war. I'm supposed to play nice, in war? It's enough that most times when I run into enemied Serenwilders, I do not attack. Even ask Aieren, just today I ran into him in Tosha, screamed Boo! to scare him a bit, and then left him alone. I do this a lot to those people I don't feel deserve to die. I don't think I have to let you bash and earn gold in peace, on top of that. It's called war, people. Harden up and accept that things will be more dangerous/harder, or try for peace.
Listen. If I had my way, I'd rather simply kill Hraddon, or Krellan, or Nizes, or whoever the Nil I saw out there as they bash aslarans/merians. But, as it happens I have status on all three. Thus, there is -nothing- I can do, even though those three constantly either attack Celestians (in group ganks or not) or kill turtles, kelpies, Lanikai, angels, dolphins, etc.
EDIT: You want griefing? Check this out: When Forren was trying for Titan, Ixion and Athana made it their -job- to kill Forren as often and as repeatedly as possible. He'd die several times a day to them, and bashing Astral was out of the question as they have a cubix. He almost quit over it. But, in the end it makes sense. Keeping a high level combatant of an enemy organization from reaching Titan is tactically sound. Making someone quit because of frustration is morally questionable. My point is, I think killing a few gold giving NPC's is paltry compared to something like that.
Diamondais2006-09-30 18:49:24
Well, I do agree about the war bit, but dont you think its wrong to antaganize your trading partners? Or are you at war with Glomdoring now?

If they attack your fellow Celestians, 'defend' them and kill them. If they're in the Inner Sea or Celestia, they are in enemy territory and thus can be killed.
Nico2006-09-30 18:55:06
Well, Glomdoring doesn't bash Merians anymore, so it's just Aslarans really. And I rarely ever bash krokani, so the cook dies to me maybe once every two RL weeks or so.

If you must defend your precious Aslarans, and I really doubt they appreciate it anyway, then isn't one death a month enough for the offenders? Anything more would be silly... well, more silly.
