I don't get how enemying someone for a play like that is low. I could think of a lot of things that would be dumb to enemy someone over but 'low'? That seems like it implies you have a right to be enemied or not by someone else.

Regarding Zenji's signature ... he's expressing a personal opinion regarding his belief of a situation, which is the same thing those of you opposing it are doing. He doesn't like A, so he says B. You don't like B, so you're saying C. You're ranting about something he wrote, he's ranting about something else (which, the signature doesn't even have who did the enemying it in, people ... not even a finger pointing at the organization) that was done.
Some reasons for giving/gaining enemy status are judged "more valid" or "less valid" than others, based on what that enemy status means. At the least, if you get enemied to a city/commune, their guards will attack you with the intent of killing you. With that in mind, people tend to think it's "less valid" to make a declaration that has such a result of death for a reason of that person doing silly little things.
No one likes the "less valid" reasons when they're against oneself or one's friends. Every organization has been guilty of the "less valid" reasons at one point or another. Sometimes they're dealt with and smoothed out, sometimes they're not.

And Wesmin, You're sig makes you look stupid. I could of written a story about magical dragons.
My point is that his sig is so completely, grossly inaccurate as to not be worth a thing... and yet he's trying to do it to make a political statement, when it's obviously not going to change any actions in-game.
Joli2006-10-24 01:48:53
I did however write a short story about dragons in Achaea..
Got favoured for that one..
Ah, memories..

Ah, inaccuracies. Haven't ever seen any of those on the forums before.
If he was indeed trying to "make a political statement" don't you think he would've added the political organization involved? Since he didn't, I'm more inclined to view the signature as a statement about/against "low" reasons for enemying, to draw attention to the practice as he sees it carried out.
I suppose it's true it's inaccurate (I wouldn't say "completely, grossly" inaccurate, though). Should say "performing" instead of "composing." Bad Zenji, fix it!

I am now. I plan on ripping the Harbingers a new one since I'm already enemied..
Cairam2006-10-24 02:13:57
I can imagine the lyrics...
"Harbingers suck, they really, really suck
They live in cloying muck, cause they really suck
And I don't give a f---!"
Or not. Joli is nicer than I am, I think.

Then your whole guild is going to pay for it. You are a leader, you represent the whole guild. Step carefully.

Sometimes I wonder if releasing the bards was a good idea. I mean, I love the idea of a new archtype (even though I am anti-alt making now) but... yeah, just how some people are acting gives me that impression. But hey, people are weird, ya know can't do much about how they act.
Reiha2006-10-24 02:32:54
The way Reiha sees it is the Bards stole her Geos and Arix *shakefist* Curse you Cacos.
But I've been loving the new guild myself on my alt

You'll discover how difficult it is to get people riled up when you're beneath their notice.

That's what I've been saying since Nirrti recited her poem for Glom's sphere. The moment I heard 'bard' I knew it was all going to hell.
