It's never a good idea to handle wild bats. I do agree though, bats are adorable. And anything flying at your head is freaky, I had a mocking bird dive bomb me in a park and had a fit. And how scary is a mockingbird??
My sister had an entire colony of bats living in her ceiling and walls at this one apartment complex she lived at. The smell was awful. It was starting to become a health hazard and the landlord was refusing to do anything. Well, she has a Paralegal degree and knew enough lawerly type words to say to scare the crap out of him so he moved her and her fiance to a new apartment, even had workers come and move all their things for free.

I'm sorry! It scared me and my uncled had screamed like a girl and had shut me in the room with it! I didn't want rabies. The worse was listening to it scream. I've never killed anything that screamed before.
