What's with IG characters refering to their parents and even GRANDparents as hot or sexy about? I mean it's one thing for it to be OOC refering to the IC character in abstract or the character's player. But I've seen all sorts of people do it IC and mean it IC... and it creeps me out everytime.

Maybe it's cause IRL the idea of my grandparents or even parents being 'sexy' is mildly horrifying to think about imagining.

Maybe I just have issues.

I always thought my grandma was beautiful. But she had long dark hair down to her waist that she'd put up in pin curls after she washed it, and end up with beautiful ringlets the next day. And she always cared to do her makeup and dress nicely. Even though she was old and had several grandchildren, she was still very much a lady and I really admired her.

Beautiful is one thing.

Saying "My grandmother is beautiful." is lovely.

Saying "My grandmother is hot!" or "My grandmother is sexy!" *shudder* That's just... odd.

Different words have different connotations. Beautiful doesn't mean the same thing as sexy.


But that's just my opinion, of course.

I agree with the Noola. I don't see anything odd about thinking anyone in your family is beautiful, but to consider a family member to be sexy implies incestual images that I don't want to contemplate.
