My rant- I have to choose an operating system, then do this:

1. (40 points) How is a process represented and what information is stored in a process control block? Write a program to display as much information about a process as you can (e.g. Process credentials, process address space, process states, …).

2. (10 points) What are the process states in your system?

3. (30 points) What are some the signals used to inform a process of an event? Write a short program to show how the signals are used.

4. (20 points) Describe the CPU scheduling algorithm implemented in your system.



This teacher is terrible, didn't even begin to tell us how to do anything remotely related to this.

Yeep... Yes, cold weather is good reason to drive.


My rant: I'm so ing tired and brain fried that I read that as Lacostians. And that I have 2 midterms today.

Oh, speaking of midterms, yesterday I had one that was going to be open note and open computer, so the test was designed in such a fashion, but the lab didn't have enough working computers for everyone (was like... 2 short), so we all had to turn our computers off for it to be fair. After the test, statements such as "I'm going to be walking funny for a while, because that test raped me," and "I need a cigarette because I just got f*cked" were to be heard everywhere. He says he'll be more lenient because we didn't have the computers, but I'm confident I could have aced the test if I could have used a computer, and you can do better then that, no matter how lenient you are. :fume:

I am unhappy that magictomes still do not work properly... Dracnari sip penalty is still so painful it hurts...umm... there is a bug in my system that forces me off balance when fighting warriors, so I automatically stay off balance and I can't find it...

I am kind of sad of the knowledge that as far as the Church in Celest is concerned... there is little or no providence to what I am doing (poke Methrenton), and that it could all be destroyed if I got on someone's bad side who had CLHELP editing perms.

What is Pho? Is it spicy-hot? Cause I can't handle spicy-hot. Hurts my mouth, makes me cry.

Edit: And so this fits: I hate when burgers hide the pickle! I hate dill pickles and hate biting into one unawares even worse. (but I love Backyard Burger's Big Bacon and Cheddar Burger! )

Yes, it's always a bad thing when fast food restaurant employees play 'Hide the Pickle' with your hamburger

I didn't mean that and you know it! But that's why I don't do the drive-threw very often. Cause you can see into the kitchen at fast food places from the counter, and I like to watch them make the food and make sure there's no 'funny business' going on.

I also don't send food back at restaurants. Cause I'd rather eat something that isn't exactly how I ordered it than to risk anyone spitting in my food.

I'm a part time studant almost, tomorrow I will be. Bugs me because of the title (the heck? Im still here!) and because its such a big deal to let me drop a course Ill fail otherwise because the school will lose funding. You would rather I fail?

Also, I hate how irritatingly easy it is for my guidence councellor (ignore the spelling, please) to make it seem like Im depressed and over stressed. You should have seen me two years ago lady!

Now Im sad, cause she dragged up some painful memories.
