So... My work just laid off like seven people out of an office consisting of eighteen.

They're keeping me and the rest of the internet staff and a few of the media broadcasting staff too, but that's it. But my best friends here at work, the folks I hang out with and go to lunch with and who've been so great about giving me rides when I need it... They've all been let go.

I feel like crap cause I didn't walk out with them, but I can't afford to do that right now.

So, my day is pretty much sucking today.

Make it ten, and the last of my 'buddies' is gone now too.

On the bright side, that means they kept you because they need you. When it comes to a raise, etc, you now have a bargaining chip.

Yeah, once you wonder if your paycheck is going to go through, panic, because layoffs tend to be right around the corner. Thats why I'm not working at a tile store anymore . I suggest looking for a new job, and as soon as you have one lined up, quit this one. That is, unless you really like it, which it doesn't seem like you do.

I want this week to end, so I can be ungrounded and I can probably know who won in the Artisanal. Boo on groundings.

The old ones cover my ears because of the way my hair is shaped, its supposed to curve around my face and show off my features or some such nonsense. So you wouldnt have seen them.
