Why the god damn hell can city ministers not enemy or unenemy people to the city. This also presents me with a problem because I was not a Security before I was elected to Guild Admin, and now that I AM Guild Admin I can't be appointed to Security, which ALSO makes no sense. Guild Admin != Security, I should be able to be appointed to it.
Grr. I should have thought of this before, I was in this same position a while ago. Narf.

Admin have no position in the city/commune, therefore they don't get city/commune privs. GM gets all sorts of city powers, because that's their job.
Though yes, I can see how that is annoying.

Ministers, though, should be able to un/enemy people, otherwise they're basically the same as normal citizens, which doesn't make that much sense.
Sylphas2006-06-29 05:46:14
Ministers have powers related to their ministry. You want to be able to enemy/unenemy, become Security. Only problem I see is that you can't make GA/GM security.
Jack2006-06-29 06:03:58
Ministers have powers that can subsequently be gained by anybody who becomes aided to that particular ministry. So logic follows that an individual who became aided to every ministry would then be more powerful than any single particular minister, unless they, too, were mass-aided.
So I say, give another tangible benefit to minister-ship. Do it. DO IT NOW.

Most people in positions of power are mass-aided.
Jack2006-06-29 07:15:34
But they shouldn't have to be.
GODDAMNIT.
GODDAMNIT.

I hate how some people are able to make hundreds of thousands of gold on blackjack, and I lose hundreds of thousands of gold.
I hate people using HP numbers on CT. Drives me bonkers.
I hate people being really OOC in general.
I hate... wait, I don't hate bashing. I like it!

Yell at them. It does wonders.

Oh, if it gets out of control I usually say something. If they start with HP numbers, I'll send them a tell saying "Please read HELP MADNESS". When I first started the game, Terentia was great for these sorts of things. She would yell at them, hehe. Terentia = awesome.
Oh yeah, I forgot one thing. I hate spies. You plan something on CT and your enemy learns of it, every detail. Bah.

GM has security powers already. And appoints security from protectors.
I do see the problem about GAs, though. That's just icky.
Sylphas2006-06-29 12:00:55
Yeah, they do, but you still can't make them Security unless they already were first, so I included them. For a small bit I was tempted to see if I'd still have the powers if I wasn't security, but not being able to reinstate it if I lost them stopped me from trying.

They have most security privs, but can't play with guards.

Define "play with guards."
Offhand, without logging on to check my privs to see if I'm missing any, I have Nexus Status/Types/Summon/Surge/Distort ... I can play with guards.
Sylphas2006-06-29 15:12:38
Guildmaster also has every Power ability besides connecting manses and can view the revlog. Aiding them to things doesn't actually add much, usually.

And I hate someone who can't shut up about something so impossible they have to argue for it anyway. And have to go abd tell EVERYTHING we know about a certain EVENT to our rivals.
"Why don't we ask Magnagora if anything's happened?"
"...because they're Tainted?"
"So?"
If I had the powers and he kept this up, I'd kill him.
But Celest has the damn no killing your fellow citizens rule.
And I miss Raizan.

Died while protecting Ladantine, which isn't what bugged me, but being asked to come back as soon as possible when no one would spare a single kafe (to satisfy some system thingy) annoyed me somewhat - asked on clt, ct, at the Megalith. If you want someone to defend/demesne, help them out a -little- so they can, too? Or don't expect them to come defend when they can't!
Thanks to Zara who helped me look for some, though

Im really hating this lack of interest in Novices in Serenwilde right now..especially since I actually worked up the nerve to ask for an advancement test.

Protectors can't enemy/unenemy.
Security can.
