Just get in your bathtub and go to sleep, and consider yerself part of the cool crowd, that gets to sleep in their bathtub on special occasions to make sure they are hit by stray bullets smile.gif.... Nah but seriously, sleep in your bathtub if your nervous, most metal tubs will stop stray small arms fire. ie. 9mm, .380, etc.... Now its not a guarantee but it is a hell of a lot better than sleeping by a window.

oooh sounds good, and I'd have the additonal benefit of being near water if they set the shop under my flat on fire again. Thanks! I went and searched for the 13th Astral sphere again, that made me tired enough to fall alseep tongue.gif

Crapricorn?
Shiri2007-06-10 09:08:27
SOMEONE is clearly projecting his affection for Alianna. chin.gif
Arix2007-06-10 09:14:01
WTF?
Shiri2007-06-10 09:20:28
That was at Gelo's post on the last page, not you.
Arix2007-06-10 09:49:40
oh, ok
Sylphas2007-06-10 17:25:38
People still have metal tubs? That they actually fit into?

Rave: Gas prices are down about fifty cents in three weeks, so I filled up! cheer.gif

Rant: Filled up, drove two blocks further, found a place four cents cheaper. Drove a few more miles and found another place an extra five cents cheaper. losewings.gif

Rave: Gas prices are actually about sixty cents down in three weeks! cheer.gif

We have a Seren named after a planet in SW. That makes me sad.
Vix2007-06-12 01:17:41
Wouldn't naming after a planet constitute an "unacceptable" name since the planets are essentially named after gods? Then again, the novice could be called Earth I guess, and the guides have let other classical god names past before. There was some Poseidon-esque name and there was Minerva before.
Shishi2007-06-12 18:53:45
I have to figure out how to make a miniature star ship, after one of the starships in startrek using only a floppy disk and I have no ideas on how. sad.gif

Not one of our planets, a planet from Star Wars. Myrkr was a major setting for the Thrawn trilogy, where the ysalamiri lived.

Left wrist is hurting like hell, especially when I bend it forward. Getting paranoid about carpal tunnel. Not really sure what to do. (Though I know it isn't carpal tunnel 'cause I can make fists fine and don't feel any numbing. Paranoia and all that. If I ever smoked weed, I'd probably wear a tin hat to prevent the FBI from reading my mind.)

People telling me I need to use that wrist more- get off the computer and do things.

Like going outside. The OUTSIDE world of sunlight and happiness and no computers that the stalker girl person lives two blocks down the road in.

...

*grabs disguise kit* *fetal*

You know, from having a retarded friend who had this more retarded friend that was a stalker, I learned the best way to get rid of them is to politely but angrily tell them, "I am not interested in you, and you're ugly."

I never in a million, zillion years would have known that Myrkr was anything other than unpronouncable if you hadn't said that, so I don't think it's a big enough deal to demand a name change over. laugh.gif

Heh, the main character's name in that particular series, shortened to "Thrawn," is much, much worse.
Vix2007-06-13 03:52:26
Ah. Well, that's obscure enough that I haven't heard of it, so it's fine. rolleyes.gif Now if we had novices running around named Mars, Mercury, or Pluto (even though it's not a planet anymore!) then that'd be bad.

Pluto will always be a planet in my heart, astrologers be damned.

I've been flipping through old messages and the first quotes thread and the first pictures thread. I keep being disappointed when the Rocky Horror Picture Show doesn't burst into my home singing "Let's do the timewarp again".

Oh, Rocky!

Oh, and it's cold enough that water left alone too long is getting a skin of ice. Honestly.
Sylphas2007-06-13 13:54:38
Well, at least we don't have any Coruscants or Kashykks. Although it would kind of be fun to have a dwarf named Bilbringi, I think, just because it's a fun word.

Had I known that the precedent of using star wars planetary bodies was established, I seriously would have named my character death star.
