I'm listening to all the audiobooks to prep for book 7 (first on the holds list at the library!). Jim Dale is pretty damn awesome, and it's nice to fill in all the holes that I had forgotten.

Psh, paying for things. Knowing the exact date we'd begin taking holds, and checking every five minutes until it went up > bookstore.

But the store I bought it from is releasing it at midnight. So I'll have it read before dawn of the day your library will get it, assuming your library will get it the day it's released. I dunno how your library works.

We get it about three days before, actually, you just have to sign unholy contracts swearing that you won't let anyone at them until release day, or your eternal soul will be devoured in an acidic pit for the rest of time.

Really, I don't care about the extra couple hours. I'm calling off work that day, so it's all good.

I don't know about books, but when the CompUSA I used to work for got video games before they were released, the managers said the store got a $1 mil fine if a single copy was sold early. Now thats motivation

Psh, fines are nothing. Try never getting product from that publisher ever again. A library not being able to get books from Scholastic would suck for their children's section, let alone a store that depends on sales to run.

I noticed a distinct lack of Peeves in the movies, so I doubt that line will be in there. A pity, because Peeves and Gred and Forge are my favorite characters
