I cannot find the Katzenjammer Kabarett CD anywhere. I've tried looking to buy it, or to download it. No luck on either count. I can't even find it on ebay for gods' sakes. Damn underground bands being soldout and apparently not planning to sell more online.

Though, we do have a few European players.. I don't suppose any of you happen to have it? I doubt it, but I had to ask anyway.

Exploding violin strings.

Granted, I hadn't touched the violin for months, so it makes sense. But it's still rant-worthy.

I've spent the last two days walking around saying "Hoppy toad, hoppy toad" in as childish, but still me pitched, voice. And I can't stop.

You're such a sweet, polite boy, Jack. We miss the sunshine you bring to these forums.

Anyway, rant: Installing WoW, the expansion, and patching is a total bitch to do from scratch. Goddess forbid I count the time setting up my UI will take. In addition, I need to install Starcraft, Brood War, Warcraft III, Frozen Throne, Diablo II, Lord of Destruction, Magic Online (done), zMUD, my nvidia drivers, and boot all the crap that a basic Windows install gives you that I have no use for.

After that, I need a find a way to reinstall GRUB, because Windows hates others operating systems and doesn't even check for them, afaik, or else nuke my Ubuntu install and start from scratch, which will require full updates again, and then purging all the :censor: I don't need. Again. Oi.

Ouch. Did you at least have the phone insured?

As far as I know...no. But maybe? I don't get the bill, I just hand over money for it, so I don't even know if there's insurance on the phone or not.

But with my luck.. of course I wouldn't have insurance on it.

Almost getting iced twice on the way to work because people don't know what "yield" means.

Cleaner beats suit over missing pants

Associated Press

WASHINGTON – A judge ruled Monday in favour of a dry cleaner that was sued for $54 million (U.S.) over a missing pair of pants.

...

Pearson, an administrative law judge, originally sought $67 million (U.S.) from the Chungs, claiming they lost a pair of trousers from a blue and maroon suit, then tried to give him a pair a pair of charcoal grey pants that he said were not his. He arrived at the amount by adding up years of alleged law violations and almost $2 million in common law fraud claims.

...

Come on, $50+ million over lost pants? People like that make me want to smash them over the head with a dirty beer bottle.

No kidding! I pay way less than that for the privilege of losing my pants.

EDIT: Sorry. Didn't read original case correctly.

Frivilous law suits are dumb. Boo on people trying to twist laws meant to protect people for their own personal gain.

I'm just glad it didn't go through. The poor couple tried to settle for $12,000 and he wouldn't take it.
