A while ago I noticed Gamespot did a poll "Has your XBox 360 broken?" and nearly half the people who had a 360 responded yes, and quite a number of them responded that it had broken multiple times.

Pidgin is being a prick for some reason and making me grab dependencies. It's interesting the first time, but when you're in the middle of ./configure for the fifth time, it starts to get old.

MSN messenger has decided it no longer wants to work for me, just randomly, without notice or explanation.

Zomg, that same exact thing happened to me months ago and still refuses to work. I just get this service is unavailable message.

it's been happening on and off to me for years, sometimes I'll have it and it will be good, then I'll be without it for a month and not know why. Right now happens to be one of the times it's not working.

Have you tried a different a client?

I dunno. It seems the problem is the key ports, so I can't connect to a .NET messenger service.

A reinstall seems to have worked for me. I also upgraded to a newer version. I'm glad I ranted. Thanks guys.

That's actually kinda impressive. MSN messenger is a sneaky little worm that usually takes a lot of effort to kill. Not sure why'd you voluntarily re-install it...
Pidgin FTW!

At least they fix it free, because I hear that so many people have had their 360 break that they extended the warranty to three years for those who experience the red ring of death that I seem to be having.

Pidgin compiled fine for me on my last Ubuntu install. Then I installed Windows again (nuking grub, obviously, because Windows doesn't care for such things as multiple operating systems) and now Pidgin is making me get GTK+. I assumed GNOME had this, apparently I was wrong. sudo apt-get install gtk+ just kind of looks at me oddly and does nothing. GTK+ from source has like 6 dependencies, each of which have maybe 2 dependencies, and one of which won't detect them even after I've compiled and installed them. SO annoying.

House Dragonmoon has decided that since the raid leader for Kara this week was in their guild, it's their instance. Even though only 1/5 of the raid was from their guild and the rest was a pug. They've started shifts of people sitting in Kara so we can't get our raid in.

I hope he's joking, actually, but we did get out horde friend to gank the crap out of the ones waiting outside, that was fun.

I didn't realize I needed Gamecube controllers to play Gamecube titles on the Wii. I thought that was what the damn Classic Controller was for, so I went and bought some gamecube games and now I can't play them. Now I have to go spend another $40-60 for 2 wireless gamecube controllers.
