Tech support telling me my modem was the problem, after they went down for maintainence (no warning, whee) and then I couldn't connect to the internet. Told me they'd send a modem in 2-3 business days. Five days later, we get a pamphlet on how to use our new modem. Just that, no modem or anything. So after another half an hour on hold, I get another guy in tech support who helps me fix the one we had in like two minutes. I TOLD them it was probably me screwing with the modem settings thinking I broke it, but did they try and fix that the first time? Not a chance. >_<

I do sympathize with tech support though. When it takes five minutes just to break you of the habit of saying "and then hit enter or click OK," your life has to be miserable.

I don't work in tech support but I often fix my naighbors computer. They often call me too. I quickly learned that if I don't say "Now click ok" they won't do it. I really feel bad who does do tech support as a living.

My new laptop not being delivered yet because it was sent by a shipping company that doesn't seem to understand the concept of "next day shipping" and instead believes in "sometime during the week". How can a company be so censor.gif stupid and not realize that people pay the extra money for overnight shipping because they need said package within a time frame and that they cost people money by not delivering next day, or even the day after that when they pay extra for speedy shipping. censor.gif censor.gif censor.gif pullhair.gif taurian.gif explode.gif

Cheese. Need I say more? I tested negative for lactose intolerance, but just a bit of melted cheese or ice cream is enough to leave me whimpering in pain for hours after consumption. Why does love have to hurt so much?

Could have a milk allergy.
Acrune2007-08-07 03:41:43
Mmm. Cheese. And bacon. Mmm... bacon.

I'm hungry...

Ick. I've done something like that before. Very annoying when you're typing away in an instant messanger and then you look up to see nothing that makes sense in English.

@Ytraelux: That about sums it up. There's the rare rare nice person though.

I do that sometimes when I forget to switch from practicing Dvorak. Used to happen at the library when I went on my lunch break and everyone else thought that computer was just fubar until I got back and told them how to switch it (Control + Shift will toggle keyboard settings in Windows, if you've added more than just the default).

I get called Sir at work... They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so true when most are beyond blind as well.

Oh, and I understand the milk thing, only for me it's the tomato. Cramps from hell, hives, red spots. I also have been tested and don't show as allergic. And most fast food places can burn, no tomato means none, nill and anything made out of tomato should not be added to the food that is ordered with a NO TOM...But Katchup isn't a tomato to most of them... smirk.gif

who the heck uses DVORAK? Even though QWERTY is inferior, people aren't going to be switching anytime this millenia.

edit: a mac thing?

Cowards who don't show up on appointed times to be in a duel ordered by their Guild Leaders, wasting both my time, and 2 others times. One had to do stuff for a paper due, and the other's was his birthday, yet both of them showed up and made time in their schedules.

To both of you who had your time wasted, I feel bad you had it wasted. comfort.gif

I've always kinda wanted to try a dvorak keyboard, but been worried that I'd lose my skill at using a qwerty keyboard if I learned to use a dvorak one.

That'd suck. Going into a library or school or something and typing like a spaz.

Screaming "DVORAK! DVORAAAAAK!" when someone asks why.

YOU WOULD BECOME AN OUTCAST.

I've slowly been picking it up, and it's nice if you're typing a lot. I'd love it if I played Lusternia more, and were good at it. But most people simply don't type enough to be bothered, and there's that whole gap where you're not that great in either layout. I've never gotten past that, though I might try with WoW chat a bit, simply because I can just talk on Vent if I can't be bothered typing it. sad.gif

Oh it made sense in English, French and English use the same letters.. er sometimes. Certain things like " ' ? were not showing up. É Would show up instead. Which is.. totally unfun. And doesn`t mesh well with Lusternia. laugh.gif

Oh. I haven't been unfortunate enough for it to happen in Lusternia. <_< ;; Yet.
