A friend of mine can switch between qwerty and dvorak without problem and is equally fast with both.

Personally, I haven't used qwerty for some years now, and while switching is possible, the qwerty is far slower for me, then it was a couple of years ago. But I think the same would have happened when I would not have touched a keyboard for a couple of years.
I just switch the keyboard on any computer where I sit longer then fifteen minutes.

However, I do not think that switching to Dvorak is that important. For typing speed, it does not matter.
It might be a bit less tiring, but the difference is small and in no comparison with good posture or a good keyboard.

WHY ARE PEOPLE SO STUPID. A mat is not a paddle! HOW ABOUT I HIT YOU OVER THE HEAD WITH A MAT, THEN A PADDLE, SO YOU CAN FEEL THE DIFFERENCE IF LOOKING AT IT IS NOT ENOUGH. Arrrrghhhhhh.

odd weather making my rearview mirror come off again.

it's happened a couple times before and the last time i overdid it on the glue, so now the mounting button is glued in. kicking myself for that, and now debating whether or not i want to apply enough pressure to snap this thing trying to get it out of there. and it's a tricky one too, there's a catch underneath the button i need to jab at with a screwdriver, while pulling the button out in the opposite direction. here's hoping it doesn't break, and i suppose there's also a risk of stabbing myself with a screwdriver

to counter the rant a little bit... this time i went out and got the good stuff. when the directions for fixing the mirror if you mount it incorrectly are "glue another button on top of the first one" you know you should be set

With the amount of malls in that area, I can't believe you cannot find one, on top of that there are like 100 Best Buys in a 50 mile radius and a subway system that will take you to 2 malls with Best Buys right across the street.
