passing out on my bed with my face in my notebook and all of the lights on while studying xD, not comfy but oh so comfy at the same time
AND...having a dream that there were dogs and a guinea pig in my room in the middle of the night, and then waking up at 7am and being so confused and thinking a guinea pig or a mouse or something was lost and probably hiding under my bed

I'm really slow getting back to this, but:
Actually, it is a very new thing. The technology for doing seam-carving was created by this guy and copyrighted, then purchased by Adobe. It may or may not be worked into Photoshop, but it will definitely be an Adobe-only thing. They were really pushing it at the last conference.

Though it certainly looks much easier to use now, seam-carving and photo manipulation like the examples they showed in the video isn't entirely new, and entirely possible on other software besides Photoshop.

Buying new RAM.
Make my order. Get an email from them saying that they have to call to confirm that it's a valid transaction. The billing phone number hasn't been changed as I'm still in a mobile part of my life, preparing for the Real World (read: In a temporary apartment). It's 10 PM. Luckily, I manage to get someone awake and to the phone at the billing phone number. Click the button to receive the call that I was assured would be "within 5 minutes."
30 minutes later, no call. Their phone lines aren't operational because it's outside standard business hours. Frustrating, but everyone just goes to bed.
Next day, call them up during business hours. At this point, I've already been charged for the purchase, and there's no indication what's going on other than that. Stuck on hold for a while, then get a message, "We're sorry, our phone support is not available right now. Please leave a voice message." Okay... perhaps you could have told me that before dumping me on hold. Anyways! Try again a few times, waiting on hold each time, throughout the day until I get someone. Hooray! It turns out that the purchase wasn't big enough to actually require the validation, despite the fact that they told me I had to validate in order to begin processing. No indication to disregard this was given, and apparently not even necessary. Hmm. Well, I'm assured it'll ship that evening.
Remarkably enough, it does. My brand new box arrives this morning. Tear into it gleefully, and... it's missing a RAM stick. That I was billed for.
I can't even call to figure out what the heck they're doing because they're not open for another 15 minutes.
To sum it up: Shoddy business practices.

Addendum to above rant: Though their customer service support on my purchase ticket says they open at 9 PST, their answering service says 9:30.

Ok, Xenthos, who the heck are these people so I never try to do business with them?
Also, I rant in general about the change to the time change. What was the point of moving it? What? Whatever small amount of convenience it created can't make up for the annoyance I feel when I have to try to set my alarm and the weird sense of 'what the hell time is it anyway' feeling I get when the clock in my bedroom is different than every other clock I have.
I'm going to have to buy a new alarm clock and I like the one I have now.

NCIX. Was recommended to me by a friend who has done a lot of past business with them in the maintenance upgrades of her machines, but I'm not impressed.
She's also rather nonplussed by it, as well.

Tigerdirect is also a good one (cheaper than newegg on some things), and I've bought a few things from zipzoomfly as well.

Thank you! And now, should I have computer hardware buying needs, I know to avoid NCIX like the plague and use either Tigerdirect or Newegg instead.

Feeling sick just after Halloween and I haven't even eaten any candy yet. I've got the rough draft of an English essay due tomorrow, an essay for a scholarship due in a week ('Why I'm proud to be an American' :/), a good 20-40 pages of AP reading and assosciated worksheets, charts and notes therein and a Spanish project due on Wednesday.
I haven't been getting beyond 5 hours of sleep a night, either, and I dreamed that I was making a new cooking item in Lusty. The Charites kindly informed that, no, 'pants' do not belong in the description of a soup.

Isn't "Why I'm proud to be an american" the sort of stuff asked in primary school?

I should have elaborated. What I meant to say was, that sort of thing was accomplishable before -through much more difficult and time consuming steps- but not with -this method- which is -assumedly much easier-.

College admission/grant/scholarship essays and primary school essays have a lot in common. Cept messing one of them up can affect your whole life.

I spent a WEEK panicking over the state of my house, even going so far as to hire a professional to clean part of my house. And what happens? She just pokes her head into the house, and each room, and that's it.
I think I'm going to strap myself with sausages, wrap a towel around my head and run screaming into the real estate agents offices.

Yeah. But I'm annoyed enough lately to not even bother thinking up why I'm oh so happy being commanded by complete dimwits.
After oversleeping my nap for an hour (oh man, that was so worth it), I wake up to find a certain someone on my computer with my little brother. They hog it for an hour. I spend two hours working on the English essay and on my AP homework, and around four minutes ago my stepdad(ish) tells me in an obnoxiously loud voice I need to get off the computer at 10 PM and go to bed.
I mention that I can't, I've got loads of homework to do. He thinks that's total BS and threatens to send me to bed even earlier. I mean, I'm used to my parents not giving a damn about my education, but..wtf?
Because I overslept and was almost late to school two times, I've apparently got to go to bed at -10 PM- for a whole month because my alarm clock pretty much fried itself overnight on those two occasions.
