That's the THIRD savegame NWN2: MOTB has bugged out on. Am I ever going to get out of the first chapter, or is every samegame going to die?

Are you playing it on Vista? And is it crashing after you save or just not saving/not loading?

Of course I am, barbarian. I have *never* had a problem with Vista, except with getting the help files on zmud to work.
(And when I was pirating it and updating it by mistake, so it wiped itself on me, the stupid thing, so I bought a copy of ultimate, but anyway.)
The quicksave ends up corrupt for no readily apparent reason, and the autosave usually autosaves when I hit 0 se between loading screens.

Boo on the timechange! Not that I don't like the feeling that I've gotten to in slept late, that's been the only positive side of this complete mess up of my internal clock. I'm STARVING and it feels like lunch time, but it's actually still an hour from lunch time. Also, later today, I've got the "It feels like time to go home" *check clock* "Dammit!" to look forward to. Not to mention that now, cause of the time change combined with the natural shortening of days, it starts getting dark at like 5pm.
Boo time change!

The time change happened yesterday sweetie. Did you sleep through it all day? Or still just not used to it yet?

I didn't have anywhere to be yesterday. It was sunday. I spent it in the park, watching tv, taking a nap, eating whenever I got hungry, doing some laundry and playing Lusternia. None of which involved even looking at a clock really... so today is the first day time has mattered and thus I've come to feel the ickiness of the time change in full force.
edit: Oh, and it generally takes a week or so for my body to catch up to the time changes and start agreeing with the clock again. Though I never enjoy it getting dark so freakin early. I like the sun!

Get up at 4:30 like I do! I get just as much sunlight as before.

Ewww!
That's way too early. I don't go to sleep before midnight at all, and usually around 1am. If I got up at 4:30, I'd have to go to bed at like 9 or something! And that would mean I'd only get to be awake for like 3 hours after I get off work!

You'd be able to raid in off-hours though!

The heating set up in this building.
Step one: Turn the heat (for my room only) on medium because it's freezing.
Step two: Turn it down to "cool" 10 minutes later because the room's really hot.
Step three: Turn it off entirely because the heating system doesn't know what "cool" is and the temperature was the same.
Step four: Wonder why it's still so damned hot in the room 12 hours later, and figure out that heat is still leaving the vent DESPITE the fact that the vent has been off for 12 hours.
Step five: Discover that this is because the guy next door has HIS heat on (and apparently on hot and highest) so my room's getting residual heat from the shared pipe or some such. To the point where my room is still uncomfortably warm this morning: nearly 20 hours AFTER I turned my vent off.
Step six: Swear like a sailor because my window won't open.

On the bright side, think how low your electric (or gas) bill will be! Your neighbor is obviously sensitive to the cold, so he'll turn his heater on whenever it gets too cold and you can just enjoy his heat and not worry about ever turning yours on. You'll stay nice and warm and have extra low utility bills.

Sadly, since I live in a dorm all that stuff is pre-paid.
Veonira2007-11-06 13:54:35
Heh, I totally feel you, ours was the same way. We used to have the window open with the heat on low just to get a nice balance.
That's one thing I do not miss about dorms.

I never understood why we don't adopt a year-round daylight savings time regimen.
When you really think about it, the average wakeup time for Americans is 7am, and the highest energy usage is also in the evening, and the reliance on electricity only increases during the winter.

Says the guy who was yelling at me cause he thought I was fired from work because I deceided to play the game? But didn't know daylight savings had ended and I deceided to use the extra hour to play? >_>
