Uhh.. That does NOT work. I was enemied to Glomdoring for breaking Xavius's demesne in Faethorn (this was before the whole no-fighting stuff) many weeks ago (and from what I gather, that is not against Glomdoring's laws).. Heck, might as well say several months ago. I asked one of their GM's, Shayle, what my crime was and if I could have my enemy status removed. Needless to say, I never received a response on the matter. All I wanted was to obtain a wasp and a bat at the time for Ecology... so much for that idea. If we're going to start enemying people because they performed an aggressive action against one city/commune member, then darn.. 70% of the player count should be enemied to at least one org. But if that's how it's going to be, then I suddenly feel the need to meld half of Faethorn.. and once a Gloom breaks it, I'll have them enemied. Sounds fair, right?

It would seem to me that Glomdoring's IC behavior is no more than that of a spoiled child's. "Whaa.. If I can't have my way, no one will!".. "We have something they want. Let's keep it from them in spite!"

Anyway, I also hate how certain quests are farmed by certain people. Stewartsville ring a bell?
Oh, and I hate strip harvesting.. We need a skill like in Imperian so that we can see who last harvested that spot.
I hate boulderblast. Enough said.
I loath the fact that Fury does cutting damage.
I dislike the speed and powercost of fetishes.
I hate how many hunting places on Prime are protected by certain orgs even though it isn't part of thier official territory...

On the positive side... I love darkseed. I love the Arts skill. I enjoy the idea of demesnes. I like the Ecology skill. Aetherbubbles - I like. I like Trueheart.

We enemied combatants in Faethorn, just like you guys did during the exact same period. Breaking a demesne at the time was considered hostile, though Charune has now demonstrated it is not a hostile act, so we can break each other's Faethorn demesnes all we want without breaking Maeve's edict.

And once again, there is *no reason* for the Glomdoring to provide its enemies with objects that make them stronger/more effective (poisons, alchemy, herbs, and so on). There is no reason for our RP to allow you to become that much more effective for the sake of a few coins which we could get by killing a few oozes, and no reason for us to allow you free passage through our territory. I'm sorry if you don't like it, but that's how it is.

Yay for admin-established monopolies on commodities AND poisons. From what I understand, seren ecologists aren't able to even create certain fetishes without raiding Glomdoring for certain creatures found (guess what!) only in glomdoring.

I don't like the Algontherine personality thing. There should be more to do it. You should be able to form a link to your ship. The ship should be able to tell you who has entered it and or give you a list of people inside it when you want it. Also it is funny that ships can have big huge guns on the outside but nothing to protect it on the inside.

I also want a way to add a bath to my manse.

You hate fetish speed? Those things are pretty damn fast, especially berserk. They do have a hideous powercost, though.

I hate finding the gorgogs bashed out by some random Titan. Come on, bash Astral or something, leave the lower bashing for the rest of us.

I hate how people complain endlessly about Glomdoring. Why can't you complain about something interesting?

EDIT: Just remembered this: Last month, my keybindings were messed up, so I kept somehow, (don't ask) replying to tells instead of saying stuff to me pals. I gave Sipelus half-a-dozen random tells because of that, and he was okay with it. Commented on the usual "you seem to be doing that a lot lately" after the third, but that was it. FOLLOW HIS EXAMPLE, MISAETHER FANATICS!

Are you going to lecture them if it is just a skill recently released for the guild aether it was meant to be said on, and teh fools going on about it haven't bothered to check Announce? C'mon, you know what I mean. (I agree with you about teh Red Sox thing though.

I hate how people are annoyed at the admins for putting particular resources only in Glomdoring, but project their frustration onto Glomdoring and make a lot of "OMG Glomdoring so mean and childish!" posts. Oh wait, did I say "hate"? I meant "find totally hilarious."

I do hate the fact that I thought I had finally escaped Achaea's eternal "omg forestals hogging herbs SO MEAN u suxor" battle...but instead of Lusternia having exciting new forum ego battles, we just have essentially the same fight, only it's Seren and Glom kvetching at each other instead of everyone kvetching at forestals. Boring!

While the admins did create Glomdoring commune they didn't really have control over how the players would decide to police it like they do. Even my alt, back when the was a lost novice was run out of glomdoring because apparently lost novices are a threat.

It's not necessarily that the invader is causing a threat, it's simply that Serenwilders and Celestians are not welcome and not wanted. I think it's consistent with Glomdoring rp not to really care about the plights of poor lost novices.

I guess what I don't understand about this whole argument, and one of the reasons I consider it so silly, is that this sort of thing seems to benefit the RP and the game as a whole, because it creates conflict. Glomdoring's inflexible, stubborn adherence to principles/rules that don't even necessarily benefit it (in a political/global sense) are one of the things that make it interesting and help foster conflict with other groups. A world where everyone has free passage on everyone else's territory might be less irritating to ecologists, poisoners, and comm-hunters, but it would also be more bland and boring. So hey, be as irritated and loud as you like IC, I'm all about that...but why so much OOC complaining about Glomdoring beliefs causing a bit of annoying conflict that helps keep things interesting?

I'm not, at least. They're cool, it's their RP. It's not their fault. It's a mechanical thing, and they can't do anything about that.

I know not everyone is. I'm just talking about the handful of people who insist on turning it into a complaint about Glomdoring. So I'm complaining about the people who are complaining. Now I'm getting confused.
