Nah I'm complaining about the people *in* Glomdoring Who already made my little alty hate them for running her out at such a tender age. I really did get lost, I dont use maps so unless I have something memorized completely I go random ways.
But you create all this hatred and conflict towards youself then whine about unevenness of whatever and then the gods go and have to over compensate for you. Thus making more people hate you OOC because it looks like you're being coddled.
On an unrelated note. I don't like the Arti auctions. I mean they are good for the company being able to make money to pay for stuff.. but it just makes the over powered.. overpoweredier.. Of course the arguement "why don't you buy credits." I'm don't have a job. I'm poor and lazy. There's a reason I play a free to play mud :/ Actually I have Wow but that's only because someone else bought it for me and pays for the sub. Just a wah wah thing from me :/

We were complaining about that in GT a couple of days ago. It really is unfair.
Xavius2006-07-02 23:09:24
Except for the soap (which is never going to be used--I bought it for the exclusive reason that it should have never been auctioned in the first place) and those spectacles (which aren't unbalancing), everything being sold is a convenience item. If you pay an alchemist 2300cr, you can have whatever refills you want for the rest of your life. By my prices, that's over 52000 health refills. 5. 2. 0. 0. 0. You buy those artifacts because you don't want to have to deal with it. Faster teleport isn't going to save your life, especially since you can buy a prism for about the same price and get the added functionality. 0-power teleports aren't going to save you more power than a handful of powerplex jewels will earn you. Again, convenience.
No. It's not unfair. I hate the "me-too" crowd who insists that everything they can't have because of life circumstances that are mostly in their control are a little prohibiting is unfair.

It's not unfair.. it's just sad. Cause the people that buy them do work for their money and stuff..(this coming from a person that has around 4000+ credits worth of Arties, most of them fun toys Yay expensive pet!.)
Well the vials do take away from the alchemists someone with the vials, soap, all the gems that do stuff, a cubix, a pet, pipes, backpacks, (I'm sure I'm missing stuff) they hardly have to return anything to the game in the way of economy depending on what trade they took up.
But Like I said it's not a real complaint, just me being whiney, "I want it too".

I don't understand what Glomdoring is supposed to do in this instance? Should we say screw the RP that we've managed to get a stable fix on after years of things changing, and allow everyone to enter so they can get spiders and whatnot? I just don't understand why that makes sense. As for favoritism from the gods? I just don't see it. Glomdoring had a lot of issues to work out, a lot of things that needed changing. They were. I think some people mistake efforts to balance the scales as favoritism. I konw it's frustrating, because I know how popular the Tosha quest is, but Glomdoring is between a rock and a hard place here, with the only reasonable option being sticking to their laurels.
Kaileigh2006-07-02 23:43:50
Everything can change if people work. (although Celest really really doesn't want to budge in anyway.)
You could charge people. Non-enemies can come in and collect for a day for whatever. If they're enemied, screw them that's there fault. If you yet let a few people in who knows maybe they're stop calling you tainted . Or if Glomdoring is such an awesome place should people be allowed to see the sheer awesomeness of it without being chased off? Without changing the Glowmdoring is awesome Rp the leaders could post saying "Hey, our forest is so great we're going to allow non enemies to come in and revel in the awesomeness. Because it's so awesome everyone is always trying to get in glory be to glomdoring anyway."
Or maybe the gods could toss a couple spiders onto the cliffs outside of glomdoring, into the place near magnagora. Even some happy fuzzy forest spiders into serenwilde?

You know what I really hate? Glomdorian victim complexes, where they think they are the thing we're complaining about, when we're really complaining to the admins that they were unfair in making certain key resources available to a single organization and not to any others. Specifically, items REQUIRED for ecology fetishes (bat/wasp corpses), ALL of Lusternia's silk comm production items, EVERY spider in Lusternia (which is of course required for the 100% neutral Tosha quest), and four of the most useful poisons in the game.
What does Seren have exclusive access to? The deafness poison, which noone in their right mind would ever use. What does Celest have exclusive access to within Celest? Nothing, unless there happens to be a stew recipe which requires their cats. What does Magnagora have exclusive access to within Magnagora? Nothing, unless there happens to be a stew recipe which requires their beggers.
We aren't saying that Glomdoring's players should do anything at all about it - we're just asking for game balance. I'm sorry if game balance offends you, players of Glomdoring characters
Xenthos2006-07-02 23:47:07
Um, we don't have all of the spiders in Lusternia. There are spiders in Dairuchi and in Angkrag, which doesn't enemy you to that village if you kill them, and can be used in the quest.
Ildaudid2006-07-03 00:13:40
There are no spiders in Ankrag.... I repeat NO SPIDERS! Do not listen to Xenthos's blatant propaganda to convince you to get yourself killed in the mines of Ankrag. The only thing Ankrag has to greet so called spider seekers are corpses wrapped in cocoons, the people who have tried to find spiders and only came across what the orcs of Ankrag call "the furry thing with eight legs".
Back to topic.
I hate that I can't get a sparkleberry anywhere in the whole place without having to deal with a dude who wants to charge 50 gold per sparkleberry. For now I have to sit around until I can convince a mage to dominate him to remove 2000 sparkles from his rift while I jump him... I think Estarra should auction a damn sparkleberry plant that grows in your manse and yields 50 sparkleberries a day...

While the admins did create Glomdoring commune they didn't really have control over how the players would decide to police it like they do.

Maybe you weren't, Shorlen, but others were and it was to them who my post was largely to.
And I so don't have a victim complex.

No, they don't. Whereas, yelling about cheese in the Glomdoring is kind of a "Hello, here I am!"

I also object to them having a totem in the room I decided to hermit, even though it isn't actually their fault!

I also feel the need to correct a few other people, there is -one- neutral quest which involves entering Celest, Magnagora, and Serenwilde, which someone enemied to them all would have a difficult time completing; the restoration of the snakes of Oleanvir. However, there is little to no reward for it (what reward there is, benefits the whole basin), and it takes enormous amounts of effort.
*peer sham* I object to city-people who take unlimited statues for granted, and complain when they actually do run into the rare species known as the commune-totem.
