Someone pulled the fire alarm at 2:45 this morning in my dorms. And it's pretty cold and not bringing a jacket while waiting out there for 30 minutes. Then, the RAs didn't like our response time, so we had a fire drill at 8:30. I was asleep at the start of both.

That's cruel and unusual punishment. You should sue.

Oh my god, I know how you feel, Casilu. My dorm building, my ENTIRE dorm building and not just one of the wings, stood outside at 4am for 2 hours because someone left their hair straightener on. It had apparently been filled with some kind substance from their hair that inevitably smoked, triggering the alarm system.

Grr. And no one would warm me up.

Welllll.. In my freshman year, someone hung dry cleaning on a sprinkler nozzle (idiot). It broke off and caused the alarms to go off and water to flood the entire floor. Luckily it was 2 floors above me so my room didn't get wet, but it was hilarious going down the stairs and seeing some people who were absolutely soaking wet.

One of the pirates was there, had a big bathrobe on, and WOULD NOT warm me up.

I've been getting little sleep recently and playing Lusternia a lot.

Besides the fact I'm getting cranky (three days with a total of five hours sleep!) and that I've started to fall asleep walking and even climbing up stairs or standing...

... I've been getting too into the game.

While I can step back and say, "Myrkr is not me", reading those messages and tells sent to her where they say "You" and not "Your character" (as it's an RP game) with all the insults is getting me unnecessarily stressed out. It's making my ulcer act up.

@_@ If things keep going as they are, I might actually need to stop the game again and hop my butt down to the doctor for another GI Series to see if it's getting worse.

The librarians turned the air conditioning on. It's not warm outside at, it's not supposed to be until later today. And it's raining so it's just cooler because of that. Cold.

I'd been trying to get work down in big sprints so I could finish my play in time for Druken's contest, because 60 credits could probably get me through the rest of stealth and I could be tri-trans again. Likewise, I finally finished an old story for Bardics, and was going to submit it after just a bit of editing.

Aaaand then...I took it out into the living room so my family could watch a movie - we're on vacation and don't have a TV/DVD - and there was a blackout, and somewhere in the course of power going off and on, either my battery or my power cord...died. And the laptop ran out of power.

Now I probably won't be able to get at those stories, and what I'm guessing to be about 1.5k of various IP, for at least two or three days.

Not being able to see the Cirque du Soleil 'Corteo' show that's been here all month, in addition to a bunch of other things being crappy..

So, yeah. When you wake up sometimes, you just have an odd feeling it'll be a good morning. Nobody else is awake, the house is quiet, you're able to listen to some quiet music without your headphones on and not have a parent nag you because your music is really easy to hear above their obnoxiously loud morning.

It's great. Until your cat starts throwing up. And you spend most of your morning shuffling newspapers all over the living room, trying to get her to stand still, attempting to make yourself presentable, making hasty MSN messages, all that good stuff. Gah.
