From DeviantArt. I find myself using their smilies on here sometimes when we don't have the right ones. It felt fitting. biggrin.gif

I love my friends and I love my friends kids. And normally, I'd be pleased as punch when the whole troupe of them decide to drop in on me. But not when I'm taking a nap. And my apartment is a disaster. And I'm taking a nap. laugh.gif

There was this poor fly that looked injured so I rushed to its rescue. It has a piece of tissue or something stuck to its wing. So I put it on my finger and go to work on it very carefully with a pair of tweasers (whatever they're called) and after about 20 minutes of it waiting patiently I got a big part of it detached from its wing, but it still couldn't fly.
crying.gif Poor little thing, I couldn't do anything else without fear of tearing off the wing.

Oh I got another one. So we got these chicken wings for dinner last night... I ate three of them, they were kind of spicy, but good. I woke up this morning at 7am with burning in my throat, I barely made it downstairs before throwing up from heartburn (supposedly), but I didn't know what from. I ate another chicken wing for lunch today and my throat is burning againnnnn! No more spicy food for me!

Ya sad.gif I had that problem with Pizza.
After Op Multicode II last sunday we went to Stevi B's and had a ton of pizza there...
I woke up about 2am and nearly threw up because of the heartburn. I ran out of Pepcid too so I couldn't do anything about it

Group projects.

I am always that person. The one who everyone picks to be in their group because they think I'll do everything.

And I always do. rolleyes.gif

I censor.gif ing hate group work. What the hell is the point? Is it so that the smart people will "pull the others up" or something, or so we'll put our heads together and come up with something we won't be able to individually?

Both of those are lies! LIES! The dumb/lazy ass-holes just drag those who actually know/are willing to work down and the smart people end up doing everything because they know if they don't, they'll just get a lower mark.

It's just so that the lazy teacher doesn't have to mark 30 papers, only 4 or 5.

My Sociology teacher has a fetish for group projects, it's so goddamn annoying. And he makes us "present" to.

Gawd.

Interesting. In almost every group project I've done it's been great. We have to evaluate each other, so those who keep the group from failing at life get the marks, the others get a big fat zero.

Well, I'm sure Group Projects are great when they're among willing and mature people (plus the evaluation thing sounds good), but boy, it's never a pleasent experience with me unless I get to handchoose my group.
Furien2008-11-02 03:05:32
For group projects, the entire group stares at me and asks 'So what are we doing?'

I tell them, they get to work, I read books.

Because I'm good at public speaking despite being quiet all the time, they make me present.

Easy grade both ways, so it doesn't bother me much.

Edit: Handchoosing sucks, since in some classes I don't have friends so I just get pushed into whatever group is missing someone. sad.gif
Ardmore2008-11-02 03:07:40
Are we talking about high school or college here?

Oh, hell yeah, I'm talking about High School. They're talking about college. tongue.gif
