Sounds like a change of venue is due. Where I'm at, and it's a big city, they can't even hire people for all the jobs we have here. Granted, the midwest is notoriously untouched by such, unless you hit the automotive centric areas.
NYC has no jobs.
Not restaurants, fast food places like McDonald's and Burger King, not Macy's, not Marshall's or JC Penny, not the grocery store, heck, I can't even get a job for data entry or as a janitor! A JANITOR!!
Kids aren't going to daycares, families are buying canned food, and they're using hand me downs. Where am I supposed to get a job now?

Same response. You're living in a notoriously "hard to make it" place in the first place if it's NYC. Add in economic crisis on a coastal city and . Like I was saying, we aren't even feeling it in the midwest. That's Oklahoma/Arkansas/Iowa/Nebraska/Missouri/Kansas. In the suburb of KC I live in, they can't even fill 25k/y desk jobs, let alone the million waiter/attendant jobs open. That's not even mentioning the fact that high end jobs here are ridiculously open, I don't know an engineering firm/integrator I deal with that isn't overbooked and looking for all sorts of help.
We're traditionally untouched by economic crisis unless they go on for ridiculous amounts of time (and/or extremes, Great Depression would be felt but not recession), due to the type of industry the midwest supports.

Spending near every night up way too late, but because of who I was with I'm not so sure it was so bad. I'm just tired.

Riiight. And then when you rant that you need a new set of springs for your bed next month we'll TOTALLY believe it is through normal wear and tear.

As far as that goes, I'm in Tempe. A suburb of Pheonix and a city in its own right. And the day a major city's major retailers don't need cashiers for Thanksgiving (and the day after) is a sad day indeed.

My grandma died yesterday. It's not really sad though, just a little sad. She's been wanting to go for years now.

That's why if you're interacting with anything that stains, you never wear anything good that it wont come out of.
