Being the least radical member of a group isn't very fun.

I love Dramatics - I think it's really interesting, if a "waste of lessons" for people who only care about combat. It has a lot of potential, especially for plays. I'd love to see a theatre added somewhere, in fact...

But still - I have a few things I would like to rant about regarding it. Firstly, there is no way to end one performance without ending another. Like, say, genderbend and anything else. If Shorlen wants to go around pretending to be a woman because he kept getting made fun of for curtseying and wearing a skirt, I have to spend 5p everytime I want to change from BULLY to SYCOPHANT, since I have to end BULLY first, which also ends GENDERBEND.

I also have to be in performing mode, which means mana drain for ego regen. This wouldn't be a problem, except all passive mana drain are effected by a torc, which means the torc needs to be resummoned every hour of playtime. This is really annoying to me.

And I still can't curtsey properly, dang it!

Also, the only way to stop impersonating someone or using ventriloquism is to PRFORMING OFF, which ends all other performances too.

What potential does it have, exactly?

You can turn into a woman... ok
You can imitate someone else... but if they were in the play to begin with, you wouldn't really need to.
You can make an object seem to speak... ok, but not very useful in most plays.

The things you can't do, which would make it useful for plays, would be like creating temporary props, being able to "disguise" yourself, so that you could customize what your say and emotes began with. So rather than having to target a specific item or person, you could do 'perform disguise a ragged man' and then your says would show up as "A ragged man says" and your emotes would show up as "A ragged man blahs." That would have let you do plays, by giving you the ability to actually have identifiable characters.

As the skillset is now... it really has no use what-so-ever even for RPing anything but trickster... not for RPing in general. Which is a pity. Disguise would have made such a great trans skill.

You can't impersonate something without sentience (which is almost offensive to mammoth D:).

And yeah you can use illusions, buuut only a few people in the city can do that...as opposed to anyone.

Eye sigils aren't sentient, and I very clearly heard one talking.
