I loooooathe the fact that Xavius is ranting on my behalf because I'm too nice. tongue.gif

Actually, no. While Narsrim qualifies as one of the candy-arsed guardians who refuses to fight in a demesne, I still get to rant about Amaru. We won't even go into the others. One of them had the gall to post. tongue.gif

Can't deny that your demesne is the best out there, though. tongue.gif

Gods, I wish I had the aquademesne for bashing and the BT one for PvP.... sad.gif

My demesne gives out the largest number of trivial afflictions per cycle, yes. In large doses, even normally harmless afflictions can be debilitating. But then, I don't have passive stun, major damage output, defense stripping, hunger, a skill to prevent moving away from the center, demesne-wide blizzard, terrain changes that slow movement, or passive healing. They're hard to compare one-on-one, except when comparing Hartstone and Blacktalon demesnes (and mine wins that comparison).

You do get passive off-equi throwing, you can easily have double our damage output alone from bleeding with thorns, I wish I had defensstripping either, hunger isn't as bad as drowning, I don't have a skill to prevent moving away from my center either, the blizzard is negligable for anyone who has a MAP, you have briars which are far more annyoing than rubble, and I wish I had passive healing.

No, I don't.

EDIT: Wait, WTF? Did a Geomancer just say that the druid demesne does more damage than his? doh.gif

I'm not so sure!

Edit: There is also NO WAY thorns + squirrels + storm does more damage than geomancer demesnes. Unless you mean thornlash, which is an active skill.

I am talking about Thornlash, yes.

And 700 damage isn't THAT awefully much. I sip double that sometimes, and sipbalance is 4.5 seconds.

Thornlashes aren't part of the demesne. That's like me saying that your demesne's really powerful because mindburst does a hefty bit of damage. tongue.gif

And 700 passive damage is quite a bit, considering you can top it with really nice active damage.

You have to remember, that's if they are prone. Our ability to make them prone is hindered by protection scroll, so with protection up it's about 400 damage all 10 seconds, it's not all that much more than your demesne does alltogether I'd say. But we don't have any afflictions to top it off, unfortunately. ._.

But yeah, my staff does 1100 damage to me, actievely, and I saw Daevos easily bleeding 1700 with him clotting in his log.

Writhing out of thornlash 4-5 times in a row will do that to you... Of course, if you do that, I have aaaabsolutely no sympathy. The first time, you didn't know any better. The second time, you brought it on yourself.

Don't you have psiarmour? Biofeedback? Reflections?

And surely there are some defensive skills available to you?
Diamondais2006-08-14 14:11:25
Yeah those two are pretty good.

That only comes if you have psionics. Otherwise, you have reflections and stoneskin. -.-
A small ability that makes stoneskin decrease damage of all types by 5% to 10% in our demesne would make me happy.

Stoneskin probably slightly reduces damage from something unhelpful, like fire damage?

Syntax: CAST STONESKIN
Stoneskin coats much of your body in stone, providing some protection against physical attacks. As your skill in elementalism increases, so will the protection this ability affords you.
