As far as I heard, there were a good number of defenders from both sides when the Demon Lords and Luna went down, but I may be misinformed.
As far as the people who are having problems with vengeance from defending are concerned, I think you have to defend prior to that person first being attacked? It's what I've assumed all along. So now as Champ I try to constantly keep pretty much the entire Paladin guild defended at all times, and then other significant fighters too.
And shrine defiling should auto-declare order members. As well, both sides do the mocking after a kill.

There were five of us for most of the time.

Well then I guess we're even?
I'd just rather not see this war spiral into a conflict revolving around meta-gaming to plan out attacks at ungodly hours. That would suck, and I think that possibility was what really ticked me off yesterday.

Oh, I don't mind it, it's like that, can't change it. But I had the most fun in weeks today.
Diamondais2006-08-16 01:25:18
Tis great fun, except when I get yelled at. But I guess I should have taken more inititive to prepare myself.
Shamarah2006-08-16 01:27:31
We took Luna down in an active druid demesne.
Unknown2006-08-16 01:27:49
I've barely been in game at all the past couple weeks, I'm missing all the fun. Boo.

Seriously?
EDIT: And so you know, Fallen, if we weren't mutual allies it would say "Rinaari refuses your attempt to defend" or something in lieu of "You declare your intent to defend Rinaari."

You are like that retarded kid allright... but now its cool... I get to use the Shamarah tactic... I killed them because they were present when our Supernals were killed You knew that would come back and bite you in the ass didn't ya Sham

That only counts if the druid has all the effects. Otherwise, the demesne is laughable. You know that, stop trying to act like it was some huge accomplishment to survive a non-combatant druid's demesne.

You had Serens attacking AFTER she died, because she went down before we could flow in after the eq loss from transverse.

Were they timed? Having all the effects and having all the effects is different. I had heard it wasn't timed, hence the 'non-combatant druid' part.

You don't time a demesne that fast. There's no way.

In which case, a druid demesne is like a series of newbie kicks to anyone with a system, and grants negative esteem should you even try to brag about it.
Diamondais2006-08-16 01:54:04
That was really just a very mehy attack.

Does that matter?
The only effects that would really impact a raiding team are treelife & treebane. If they were both up, give them the credit they deserve, timed or not. If they weren't... unless someone dissolved, meh, was probably annoying to fight in the demesne, but not really dangerous.
Still, more difficult than fighting in a non-active or post-fury demense, regardless.

Exactly. I have to spend about 1 minute and a half to get all my demesne effect attack at the same time. Otherwise there would be just effects hitting at uncoordinated times that is easily curable and therefore worthless. Plus they could have used scroll of protection to avoid it anyways.
EDIT: oooh! oooh! Elryn's avataar changed! ooooh!

As someone who fought quite a bit wielding a demesne, both before and after timing was used en mass, (not saying you didn't, i'm just saying where my opinion has come from) a druid demesne is far more effective when timed. If they aren't timed, its not enough to even make you blink.
