Well, I think it went well. I ran alot, yes, but I had to to stay alive. I think my tactics are (slowly) improving, though I'm open for suggestions. I heartstopped at the end because my last move was something of a deciding move. If it had worked, I would have won. It didn't, so I had no chance.
I do, however, feel I should have won that, really. I feel I would have, if Carcer hadn't stopped me from getting to Thoros just then.
There we go. Also, I know my transfix writhing and rejecting is... Non-existant, or completely screwy. So, no need to remind. Anything other than that would really be appreciated, though.
Blarghr. Excuse me while I grumble. I feel like I could have won that.

I'd say you should probably invest in Environment to get Tumble if you're aiming to be more of a combatant nowadays. It would have gotten you past both the carcer and the walls on the first try.

I have got tumble, I used it a fair few times. I should have, yes, but I did not realise it had been changed to avoid Carcer.

Hm. Maybe I've just always gotten lucky then, but I've never had a tumble blocked by Carcer, and I've used it in such a situation quite a few times. Well, if it is blocked, then I'm useless
Soll2006-06-14 18:53:39
I just remember a few logs - probably ancient ones, now I think about it - that showed it being blocked. But my memory is horrid, anyway. I'll keep that in mind for the future, though. Thanks.

You really need to get over the mentality "If I don't win, I suck." Not healthy.

I tend to assume too much, but it's not healthy anyway.

Never use liquidform.
Ever.
EVER.
Use bubble instead. Or just run.
And if you feel the need to maelstrom for some reason, you should try accompanying it with hailstorms.

Oh, you don't need your staff to Hailstorm?
That would have solved the problem, since it could have hit into the next room (i'm assuming that's where Thoros was)

No you don't, I've hailstormed with some of my little newbie aqua's from time to time.

Sorry, but Liquidform is useful in certain circumstances. As you saw, I did use Bubble a large amount of times when necessary, but I used Liquidform when I felt it suited better. I forgot about Hailstorm. That would have done it for me. Unless he was shielded.

Now with the changes, it doesn't matter if you need your staff, Maelstrom won't eat it!
Soll2006-06-20 16:30:56
I've actually started using it now.

Only time I used Fury, it was on the test server and there were no slings to be found and no one to make them.
But if it hadn't used my cudgel, I'd have been a Furying madman. It's just so FUN.
