Here's just a random list of changes I'd like to see in Lusternia.
Flying
Have the wings gained by Crow Cloak have special Fly and Land messages. Also a special message to show that when you wear the cloak your natural wings (if you have them) turn into Crow wings.
Change the message for Trill and Faeling so they have unique flight messages to move away from the boring generic ones.
Config Colour
Allow the different shrines to be changed colours so I don't keep thinking there's a special environment in the room.
When a skill is changed due to an Envoy report make sure it is listed in the AB file for the skill. Illusions doesn't have the change listen about those /n things.
Give Trills a racial language already.
Change some skills so if they are duplicated have them give an added effect.
Such as if your have Stag in Totems and Sprinting in Athletics your balance time for sprinting is lowered.
If you have Window in Cosmic and Astrosense in Astrology then you can see what is in the room with them or maybe just people in the room with them.
Since you have Monkey (which gives Cling) in Totems and Perch in Crow then you can hear what's being said beneath you on the ground.
Completely revamp the Riding skillset to make it more unique and Lusterniaesque. (I know this is a large change but I feel it needs to be addressed.)
That's about all for now. Just add the little things that you wish were changed.

I think humans should have a special language not trills. Afterall, Humans are the foreigners.
And its only been 150 years since they came over!
It would be really nice if all those skills you get in environement that are the same as the totem skills would give bonsus, thats a really nice idea. Would be a nice upgrade for Trackers for sure.

Humans being foreigners has nothing to do with it at all. All the races have a racial language except for Trill, besides Humans could get one too but I just figured they would speak Common.

Pretty sure viscanti don't either, but seeing as they are, ooh, eighteenth-breeds, they can't really have a fixed language, unless it's something like: *gurgle*whisper*squeak*roar*growl*grunt*miaow*woof*whatever*
Genos2006-06-15 16:23:19
Well, all of the -normal- races then.
Unknown2006-06-15 16:32:43
Humans don't. They should get english.

Naw, they should get Mandrin.
EDIT: Or Achaean.
Daganev2006-06-15 17:00:23
Trill and Viscanti is Common.
Its odd that humans wouldn't have thier own langauge from the void.

Yes! Exactly! A little message in the description stating the person has a beak, talons and Crow wings, or, if she's already got wings, black feathers over her natural wings. I'm always worried about having Nirrti do something with her beak and having everyone watching go, "Huh?" I'd add it into her description, but those cloaks have a bad habit of decaying pretty often.

Would be nice, they do throw you off a lot.

I'm very puzzled that they don't have one...

Perch is supposed to give some benefits beyond Cling already. Whether they're buggy or not is another matter.
All in all, nice little set of ideas. Wholly approve.
Vix2006-06-16 01:55:39
You kinda -need- Monkey Cling to even get Crow Perch... why not just make it part of the Perch skill then? Or better yet, make it an Environment skill!

I think the main reason that Crow Cloaks don't have a special message towards your description or anything for natural wings is that Crowform has that instead.

I think that hartstone druids in stagform should need a stupid golden torc to speak to whitehart.

Should or shouldnt?
Ialie2006-06-16 02:05:47
erk! Shouldn't!
Also The entire family system. My main grief is that people have to wait until 21 to consider. I don't see a point in that since a newbie could also choose to be 29 bypassing that.

Crowform just adds "covered in oily black feathers" after the "She is a shadowcaster faeling and..." Crow cloaks are the ones that have the funky "you sprout a beak and talons" message when you put them on. So fun. I love whoever wrote that to pieces. A blurb like that in our description would be tres nice indeed.

Another thing that bugs me for some reason is the fact that the Crows summoned by Blacktalon druids stay even when the summoner logs out. However, for Aquas, Geos, and Hartstoners their summons always disappear. I just want all those annoying Crows to go away.

I concur. I've been thinking for a while now how good it would be if you could hear what was going on (and possibly see) what was going on below when you were perched. Plus it makes perfect sense! I'm not sure on being able to do that through cling though, I think it makes more sense if you could do it in the lesser/greater form of Crow.

I didn't know that about the Aqua/Geo/Hartstone summons, but I have to disagree - I quite like having my crow watch over my nest, even when I exit.

Actualy I always tried to ignore the physical effects the crow cloak has. No matter what race you are, you'll end up looking stupid.

Wouldnt think too much for Trills, but then again maybe Im just weird.
