Parry Head, Stance Legs, then proceed to beat him down. You realize that faelings are wet paper bags? It's your own fault you were on an extremely low con race. He can't hinder you if you parry head stance legs, so then you should have NO trouble piecing him. Sorry, but its your own fault if you ever lose to a 2 hander.

Faelings with 5.2k health are wet paper bags? I don't even want to know what I am.

well i like how paladins are now screwed strength wise...good job making us prgressively worse then every other warrior..

(please correct me if im wrong it just seems this way to me and i cant be bothered to look into it)
Ceren2006-06-17 07:51:20
Paladins have the least strength buffs of all the warriors, so I'd think they'd be the least affected.
Unknown2006-06-17 08:03:40
They had +2 strength, +3 with High Magic. Now it's +2 regardless of High Magic or not. I fail to see the problem.
silimaur2006-06-17 08:12:31
no its +1 because i dont have highmagic

You get +2:

Attribute Increase / Buff Weight Needed
+1 1
+2 2-3
+3 4-5
+4 5-6
+5 7+

Flex gives "weight" of 2, so gives an increase of 2 as well.
silimaur2006-06-17 08:21:45
oh i must have read the file wrong i thought it was 3 for 2 but ok then im happy

Have to comment on my arena spar with Icarus. I had him pretty much screwed but still couldn't behead because of stance/parry, and the fact that rebounding comes up while pinlegged, so rend raze strike leg doesnt work. I had to drain his power to 0, slitlock him, then chase him down like a madman beating on him for a long term crappy damage kill with rapiers. All this is during being trap whored, where you cannot kill the dog in the arena, nor evade traps which you can be endlessly knocked into. Imagine a Serenguard Tracker+ Moon Mugwump, pit +active aeon = instantly screwed.

Just. Sad.

Edited: unclear spot.

In that fight you had it easy. I had 12% reserve left at the beginning, so a few drains from you left me with 0% and 3p. Then you got me with slitthroat/senso and I had 0p after evoking gedulah the first time. The second time I died. tongue.gif

I must say the tank/drain/run/heal then tank/drain/run/heal then repeat until 0% is quite effective. As an Axelord I have no way of holding you down in the room. Whoever is complaining about Pits should seek advice from Ixion because he can climb out faster than I regain balance.
Ixion2006-06-17 16:21:32
If you plan it right you can begin climbing out near instantly, but it doesn't always work.

In my fight with Geb, he pit whored me as much as you did. I pre-gamed by stealing power and setting up before my offensive, and somewhere between pits knocking you out of stance, 2 pets and arena retardedness that is being unable to kill his tracking dog, and him running I lost.

Pits, at least in the arena, should decay or only hit x amount of times before they get destroyed.. or some limitation. A tracker could pit every dang room in the arena and just tackle/barge until the mutt coincides with a clamp.. I disagree with that.

Edit: Especially now that the stat buff change has nerfed lichdom, making it effectively useless for the stats bonus, but yes it still hurts during the day. Tracking all of the sudden seems appealing.

I like the way you twist things to try to make yourself look good. Your pre-gaming was a waste of time. My one time leaving the room was to set up the spring trap to knock you back in. Also, you ran from me when the darts were hitting and I was swinging. Last, if you can't figure out how you died, and your explanation above gives me that impression, then you really need to look back on what you really know about fighting and do something to add to your knowledge base.

P.S. I will give you a bit of a hint to help you along. Pits and traps only spring once. We either have to replace them or re-conceal the pits to make them work again. There are other things that can be done, but you will have to research it yourself.

Putting up several traps isn't hard in a short period of time.

I had you at 0 reserves, so yes it did a lot. It took away your ability to spam assaults. Maybe taking away your best pureblade skill is a waste of time to you, but surely not to me.

Trying to figure out what on earth called for that offenssive tone, Geb.

Ohm no, I did not have 0 reserves. You would have had to been hitting me with 21 combos to have had a chance of draining all of my reserves. You got very few attacks off on me, and many of those were parried and dodged. So, I had plenty enough to kill you. Oh wait, I did kill you didn't I? With a 5 power attack none the less. tongue.gif

Same tone he uses talking about being whored and the stupidness of things. I replied in the tone he set.

Actually, assualt is not considered my best Pureblade attack in my mind. I guess since lunge is very important to you, I can see you thinking the same way about assault. Assault to me is a bit of umph to my attacks, not the main focus of my offense.

Also, I did not say setting up traps is hard. It is quite easy. I was correcting your misconception that they hit more than once, which they do not.
Ixion2006-06-17 19:06:59
I wasn't hitting you with swords to drain your power, and I did drain you a multitude of times. Apparently, you know little about necromancy.

Ta.

Naw, did not have it highlighted. My eyesight is not that great, so I highlight or echo most things. In the end though, I only needed 5 power to defeat you.
Ixion2006-06-18 02:02:34
and 2 pets, an unkillable dog in arena, traps that I dont think cost you comms in arena, and tackle whoring into them. Yep, sure did.

Less digression, more talk about how warriors need upgrades.

I never tackled you. You only fell in my pits twice, and tripped a dart and spring trap once. Please don't exaggerate what happened to you. Do you see me calling your constant drain on my power whoring? You evidently used it more times than I gusted you into a trap. You have a problem with calling anything that gives you trouble whoring or stupid, but it is ok when you use some action over and over again in pursuit of your goals.
Daganev2006-06-18 18:19:06
Comparing tracking to the Arena and real life combat , I do not think are really comparable.

there is no question that Tracking is really good inside an area. Outside however, I think its very circumstantial.

Unless you're grossly rich and have a lot of time to set up.
